Fits perfectly, almost too perfectly
I was tired of not being able to carry certain zippos for fear of my keys scratching the image off. I decided to save a few bucks and buy the non official zippo pouch. First time I put my lighter in it I had quite a struggle getting it back out. I left a lighter in it overnight to let it stretch and it was easier to get it out that morning. It has been a few weeks now and after daily use it comes out easily enough but is still secure.

Black Nylon Lighter Pouch
This pouch is ideal for anyone who doesn't want to carry their lighter in their pocket. I wear a tool belt quite often and this pouch with a lighter just for the pouch is what I keep handy when I wear the belt. Also comes in handy when I am wearing gloves and don't want to take them off to get at the lighter. Lastly, I hate my lighter to be in my pants pocket right after I fill it. It tends to turn upside down and I end up with a chemical burn on my thigh from the leaking lighter fluid.I would like to address all the comments about the pouch being tight and difficult to remove the lighter. I own nothing but Zippo brand lighters so I can only address those, and specifically those that fit into this pouch. When you receive the pouch, of course it is going to be stiff; it's never been used! If you slip your lighter into the pouch, it will be difficult to pull out of the pouch. What tends to happen is you will pull on the top of the lighter, the hinged lid will open and then you have to try other ways to pull it out. What is happening is that the lighter hinge is catching on the sewed nylon seam. What you need to do when you first get the pouch is to soften it. The actual pouch (which holds the lighter) is stiff nylon. Bend it, flex it, work it back and forth. Flatten it, work it some more. Don't mess with the backing with the belt loop and don't bother with the snap flap. Just work the pouch itself. Then put your lighter into the pouch, hold it in your left hand and grasp the bottom of the pouch with your right hand with your thumb at the bottom of the pouch pointing upward. Push your thumb against the pouch and your lighter should pop right out. If it doesn't, flex the pocket some more. Mainly you want the bottom of the pouch to be able to flex when you press against it. When you have the pouch on your belt, you probably won't use your thumb to slide the lighter out but will use your first two fingers instead to press at the bottom of the pouch.Last bit of info is on the size of the belt loop on the back. I wear this pouch on a belt that is just a bit over 1½" wide and it is snug. A narrower belt will allow some movement, which might be good or bad for you.A good pouch at a good price. Just spend a few minutes breaking it in before you get upset about not being able to get your lighter out easily.

Lighter Pouch
Purchased this to attach a PakLite to my web gear. Fit is a bit loose, but should compress over time. Pouch is a bit cheaper & has a snap where the OEM pouch is bit more pricey & uses Velcro for closing. The belt loop is thin, but fits (very snugly) 1-3/4" belt. Works as I need it to do.

It sucks for a zippo
I like the material, I like the idea. It just doesn't work. Because the fabric is doubled over and tucked inside, the hinge for the lighter lid catches on the inside fabric and it is a bear to get back out of the case. Its a tight fit to begin with. Maybe it loosens up with time, but its a pain to get the lighter back out. Had to use some tools to gently wedge it back out. I think I will stick with the leather Zippo lighter cases.I took a pic with my lighter mostly in the case just to show where the hinge is. I didn't dare tuck it back down as far as needed to snap the cover. It was a pain the first time getting the lighter back out there. The other part is, because the hinge for the lid catches on the material, the lighter opens....now all of the edges of the lighter catch somewhere on that tucked in material, so I ended up fighting with it and used an awl to move the fabric away and wiggled the lighter back out. Not a good design.

Nice, but too small.....
For those buying this specifically for a full-size Zippo lighter......DON'T! This is a nice, well built pouch, but actually about 1/8" to small in every direction to fit the Zippo. It will go in, but good luck getting it out. I don't see, after reading the reviews, why the seller cannot redo their blueprints or orders with the manufacturers to make the pouch slightly larger instead of continuing to sell this as is. On the plus side...and the only reason I didn't give this item a 1 star...is that the slim size Zippo will fit & I have a few of those, so not all is wasted. If you do use it on a Zippo, be sure to put a small piece of duct tape on the inside of the pouch on the back of the snap so it doesn't scratch up the face of your lighter.

april 30/13 Great Product, june 1/13 boo.
It does what it's supposed to. This isn't a complicated item. It's simple. The snap closure is really tight and definitely needs a tight leather belt to be secured to. If you have a bit of "belt hang over" your body type might make it difficult to access. It's hard to pull a lighter out if any angular pressure is put on it. You must slide lighter strait out. Good product! The snap broke off.

Fits Zippos snug as a bed-bug - you can't get it out!
All right, first off, the construction is solid. The material is stiff and protective, the stitching is solid, and the snap closure is unlikely to fail. However, this case misses one key point: usability.A standard Zippo lighter is a perfect fit in this case, and that's good. However, the lip on the rim of the pouch catches the hinge, thereby making it extremely difficult to get the lighter back out once it's been put in. Because the material is so stiff, the squeeze-and-pop method of pushing it out really isn't viable. You'll be fighting for half a minute or more simply to extract your lighter with this case. Now, that's not to say it can't be modified for better function. A semi-circular cutout centered at the bottom with a diameter of about 2/3 the width of the lighter is a perfect alteration that gives you easy access to remove the lighter in one quick motion. Unfortunately, it also causes the fabric on the surfaces to start fraying out, so be prepared to not only use a razor knife to make the case usable, but also a bit of super glue or fray-check to prevent the fabric from becoming a mess. It might not look as good when it's all done, but it's really the only easy solution I can see to the design fault of this case.

Too small
As every other review (which I wish I had read before buying!) says, the case is too small for a standard zippo.I have tried to soften by bending and squashing and stretching the opening and it’s getting better but it’s made too small.

Great product.
Many others complained about the size but My zippo lighter slips in and out with no effort at all!

No good at all.
Would like to return as it does not fit and is far too hard and will damage my polished brass Zippo
