A robust product that does the job well
This is a review of the KASTFORCE KF5008 Hole Saw Pipe tube Notcher. It arrives in a thick cardboard box as it is heavy! There are very good instructions with photos to assist. There are no hole saws supplied for fairly obvious reasons. You will however need three spanners - a 14mm, 19mm and 22mm - (see photos) which are not supplied. Assembling it was straightforward but setting it up is the key but once done, its satisfying and worth effort. There is an adaptor nut (this is where the 22mm spanner comes in handy) so you can use two different, threaded hole saws if required. Once it is set, any more of the same profile are quite easy to cut but it’s all down to getting it right the first time as you will be amazed as the end result. Overall a good reasonably priced alternative to our labours in the past that involved a hacksaw and assorted size half round files to get the same result while this did it in a fraction of the time. Overall a very good device once set up.

Affordable, well constructed piece of equipment. Just make sure you follow the instructions.
The media could not be loaded. This requires an hour or two to set up and familiarise yourself with it, but follow the instructions supplied.Once you’ve set it up for the first time, it will be much easier to do the second time.Substantial piece of equipment, and good value for money when compared to the cost of the more expensive ones.I am impressed with this, and I do recommend it for anyone doing anything with tubing as it makes life so much easier and it’s affordable to have sitting on the shelf for the odd occasion you need it.

Fiddly to setup, but does a great job
This was fairly fiddly to get it setup and learn how to use properly, but once you get a feel for it provided really good resultsIts a decent price and I think its fairIts welded really well and feels nice and solid.

Very sturdy construction, works well
This is a must have tool if you plan to weld tubular sections and need to notch them. After getting it set up for the first time, it's easy enough to use, either with a pillar drill or handheld electric drill. The angles need to be checked and tightened to make sure there's no movement but once going it will do the job. The construction is super robust - I was surprised how heavy the whole thing was. On the downside there are no holesaws provided but for under £60 this is a very good value tool.

Very solid machine
This KF5008 Hole saw pipe tube nother doing great job in my garage and it is very easy to use machine of course, if someone has already dealt with similar machines, And I already had a car school and in my former job and this machine will be very useful in my garage where I collect all the necessary products for equipment. It can be used on a drill press or slow speed hand drill, tubing capacity: 2" /50mm, spindle: 1/2", spindle adopter: 1/2"—5/8". Item weight is about over 5kg. Good quality machine for long time of use for sure. I can easily recommend it to anyone.

Came well packaged and was easy to setup and adjust
Comes decently packaged considering the weight of the kit but is easy to put together and will take some time to get used to it but once you are used to it got a great build quality and is very durable. Its easy to angle it and lock it in place and doesn’t move around like my other ones but it also is a bit difficult to get the right angle to the degree locked in as there is small movement, so you have to make sure you get it extra tight. Following the instructions to set it up was easy to get this working.

Affordable and got the job done
The media could not be loaded. Used this to cut dozens of notches in 1.75" outside diameter DOM steel tubing for a roll cage. This was the most affordable option I could find but it worked well despite the low price. PAY ATTENTION TO YOUR ANGLES though because its protractor isn't perfect.

Works fine
This notcher works as intended. A bit of a puzzle out of the box, the mandrel was installed upside down and the vice bracket had rotated out of position, but after that, all's well for notching 3/8" schedule 40 pipe. The mandrel accepts small cutters and the included adapter works for larger diameter hole saws. Adjustment requires a couple of wrenchs and some time, but notcher is solidly built and the cutter lines up with the center of the stock. good for the home shop. requires solid clamps or bolt to drill press table.

Built well
Overall well built. Only problem being the 5/8-18 threads on the adaptor were not a true 18 tpi. Purchased a new name brand one, and works fine..

Pros and Cons
The media could not be loaded. PROS: Solid construction, can be calibrated to make precise cuts, nice powder coating, rugged construction.CONS: Take some tweaking to get it mounted on a bench and snugged down, lack of wing nuts means tedious adjustment for each angle change, doesn't come with chuck.Has been working for me though I only use a small amount of tubing that's round in my builds.

A very basic kit, that needs additional parts to work.
While this item appears to be with pretty good welding for an imported product, it does require you to either have a spare drill chuck or buy one to use it. While you might be able to remove the existing one from your drill press, the way to to is designed you'll likely need a smaller chuck to fit.Once set up its a simple to operate tool, but I wouldn't recommend it for using on multiple angles very often, as there's no index or other means of setting an angle other then manually using a miter gauge or other tool. The bar or tube hold is very simple, very center style that works well for fast setup, but not for the most precision work.
