My grandson finds the mattress comfortable - no complaints.

is there enough space underneath for a mattress? in the event of an odd sleepover?

Hi yes there's enough room under the bed but if you haven't got high ceilings then I'd think about it, its a great bed but my son is 13 and about 5ft 8 and has to commando crawl to his pillow lol and sits up and bangs his head i never thought about the space from pillow to ceiling so make sure before you buy it.
