I really really like this vent clip. I've had it for over a month now and it is very sturdy and looks to be very well made. I ended up buying a 2nd one for my other car. It comes with the metal plates you need to attach to your phone (I attached mine in between the 2 layers of my case since my case is a little thicker than usual. Still attaches just fine even with the thicker case. A very nice feature of this type of clip is that it's magnetic and you don't attach your phone. It sticks to the mount and is just super simple to place it on there and does not move while you are driving. Then when it's time to get out of the car, you simply just grab and go.I love that this clamps on to the vent and the mount is adjusted on a swivel so you can adjust the angle of the phone to your liking. The clamp part is rubber to avoid any scratching to your vents. Another reason why I bought this type over the fixed mount magnetic vent clip (which I had previously), is because the vent can now be adjusted to the right angle also without blowing in my eyes.Having my phone mounted on the clip makes it great to see when I'm using the GPS guidance also. I highly recommend this item for the simplicity and seems to make my life a little easier when in the car.

This is probably the best phone mount I've ever had for my car. The friction fit clamp lets me put it in what I consider to be the perfect spot for my phone in my car (in a vent over my radio), and so far (about 4 months of use,) it has never fallen off, which is amazing for me. I love being able to just grab my phone and not worry about accidentally taking the mount with it. The metal plate fits under my phone's case and is virtually undetectable. The plate also sticks very well to the magnet in the mount, so the phone stays in place very well.

The Veckle magnetic air vent car mount works great! Two things make it especially better...1) the rotating ball socket has an adjustable collar that allows you to determine how strong or stiff it needs to be to keep your device from drooping forward due to the weight, and 2) the clip for the air vent is also adjustable, allowing for a tight fit on the thinner air vent blades like in my 20 yr old car.The silicone pad really grabs the blade of the air vent, and an added bonus is that the outer side of the grip has a U shaped strip of silicone rubber, which helps keep the mount stable as well.The magnets are strong enough for me...I inserted the non-adhesive metal plate between my Samsung Galaxy 5 case and the phone, and it holds very steady even on bumpy roads.I will definitely be buying more for my other cars! I needed a mount that would fit in the vertical vent of a GMC truck. Unfortunately this model protrudes out too far and gets in the way with the steering column shifter. I use an iPhone 7 with a rather slim case. I was forced to move the mount to one of the passenger side vents. To far away for practical use. Since it sticks out rather far I find it swivels when I make a turn in vertical vents.The grip of this mount isn’t sufficiently holding itself inside a vertical vent. As you tighten the clip the pressure that holds the mount in place is all on the very end of the vent gripping pad and it’s not evenly distributed across the pad. Since it’s gripped by just the tip of the pad the entire mount slides down the vent until it falls off when you hit the next pothole.If the magnets were a bit stronger I’d recommend it for at least a horizontal vent but I can’t. It’s parts seen durable but it’s just poorly designed for vertical vents. I’ll keep looking for a model that’s got a better grip with a lower profile.

This is a great concept, however, if you have a plus sized phone consider getting a physical mount as a large bump in the road may cause your phone to go flying. If you have a regular or smaller sized phone this is an amazing product. Also if you have the iPhone 8 or X remember that using the magnetic plate piece that goes on your phone will disable your ability to wireless charge as long as the piece is attached. I personally don’t use wireless charging often so it is not a problem for me. 3 stars because there was not enough info for me at the time of purchase about what phones work best.

Best car mount I've ever bought! I love that there's no "strapping in" of the phone. Just simply take your phone out of your purse and place in on the mount. Great for those who use their phone's GPS a lot to lessen looking away from the road to a phone in your lap or hand. Just don't lose the 1) magnet or 2) extra magnet they give you with this purchase like I did. (That was completely my fault, however.) *The magnet in no way affects the phone. Mine still works like the day I got it.

This vent mount is everything advertised and more! I've tried other vent mounts and this is the most sturdy. I've used it with the iPhone 6S and the iPhone X. It supports them both easily and stays in place in the vent very well!!! Would reorder if I ever had to, but it doesn't look that will be any time soon. Highly recommend to others!

I've tried a couple of different versions of this from other manufacturers... they always failed... This one had it's own issues... I had to modify my air vent in my Jeep... but once I did that, this is easily the best of it's kind... allowing you to swivel it and lock it in place. Very happy with it.

Just Okay. I have a Chevy Equinox which has vertical running vents in the center and the clip will not grip enough to stay. Works okay on the horizontal running vents but it's really not the solution I was hoping for. It seems strong enough so far, but not ideal in the winter when you need to have the heat on - but I should have thought of that before ordering it. Otherwise, it's well fabricated and as I mentioned above it seems to have a nice strong magnet - no issues with the phone dropping over speed bumps yet.

This a sleek and well made phone mount. The magnet is strong and easily secures my phone (iPhone 8 Plus) to the mount, even through my Dreem phone case which already has a magnetic backing. The butterfly screw is easy to use. The ball joint is also easy to tighten. I did have to tighten mine when I first attached it to the vent because it was too loose and didn't hold my phone up. The one drawback, which isn't the fault of the mount itself, is that the weight of the phone makes the vents point down. Depending on the style of your vent, this could be a fairly steep angle and even when adjusting the angle of the mount's ball joint, you may end up with your phone still at an odd angle for use. With mine attached on the bottom most vent and the ball joint angled up as much as possible, my phone does sit at a satisfactory viewing angle. I am going to try to find something that I can insert into my vent so they don't close under the weight of the phone.

I took this with me on a trip around Ireland and it definitely came in handy. Didn't want to rent a GPS so I just used my phone. The magnet for this is really good. My only complaint was that no mater how much I tightened the angle of the magnet, it would slide down due to the weight of my phone (Galaxy S8).

Although it wasn't my preference for a phone mount that attaches to the vent, it was the only reasonable option for me. Given that here's my opinion.Pros:. Well made, looks good. Holds well, magnets seem good. Flexible for phone positioningCons:. None so far

possible to give it more than 5 stars?!! well engineered...well thought out....high quality...I needed something effective but not all that plastic hardware other units offer...this is perfect! solid unit, great support, ordering another one to keep as a spare for my wife's car too!
