SHADE & SUN IS A SEED MIXTURE THAT HAS LOW LIGHT NEEDS, MAKING IT IDEAL FOR USE UNDER TREES OR IN SHADED PLACES. IT CAN ALSO BE USED IN PLACES WHERE THERE IS LITTLE TO NO SHADE. Period of use: February to October. Preparation: The soil should have a temperature of at least 50*F and a high moisture content (watering the evening before sowing is recommended). Compacted or hard soil should be aerated or raked to loosen. STEPS 1) Rake out any dead grass and mow the lawn to a maximum length of 2 inch. Scarify any bare spots and lightly fill ( ½ inch) with compost or garden soil. 2) Divide the grass seeds into two equal parts and spread evenly over the lawn, spreading one part lengthways and the other widthways. 3) Rake in the seeds lightly to create better contact with the soil, then thoroughly press them into the soil using a roller. This step is crucial for good seed to soil contact, improving the germination success rate. 4) Water the area directly and ensure that the soil stays moist for at least 3 weeks. For best results, water lightly 3 to 4 times a day (rather than thoroughly watering once or twice). Too much water at once will cause puddles and relocate the seeds, causing an uneven result. 5) Do not enter the lawn until the first mowing (21days). Prevent heavy use in the following 2 weeks. 5 TIPS for your best lawn: Mow weekly to thicken the lawn Never mow off more than ⅓ of the blade length per mowing. Instead it is better to mow more often. Mow with sharp blades to ensure a clean cut, this improves plant health and reduces stress. Mow between 3-4 inches Fertilise every 6 weeks during spring and autumn Did you know? Seed mixtures contain several different seed types, all seed types have their own germination time. Therefore not all seeds will germinate at once. For example, Perennial Rye will take 7 days. While Kentucky bluegrass will need 30 day for germination. Water and patience will guarantee success!

Trying a fall planting.
The seeds look uniform and well coated. I have about 1200 sq. ft. reshaped strip next to a new barn. Some of the dirt is a hard sandy clay that I had stripped the organics from in preparing the site. I topped it with about 2 yards of horse manure/old hay ant tilled it all in with a 5 foot tiller. I raked it with a landscape rake and finished with a garden rake. I applied Scotts lawn starter fertilizer and seeded it and watered it. Hoping to see some growth in a few weeks and I expect it to be fairly well covered by Nov 1. Then it's wait and see until the snow melts in the spring. Seed was applied Sept 25 in the Okanogan. (10-15" of rain annually)

Better than the major brand
The media could not be loaded. Germinated well in the upper Midwest fall season.A bit slow to germinate but keep it wet and warm and it will do fine.

Seeds dissolved
This is from my second order of Moowy, the first arrived fine. I haven't seen nothing like this where it appears the seeds dissolved. I would like good seeds for my lawn restoration please.

Beginning the trial
Now the heat is gone I can put this seed down and see if it'll grow for the upcoming spring and summer seasons. I will refer back to this review in the upcoming months to keep you posted on the progress.

This is for overseeding an existing lawn!
We used this to fill in gaps and dead spots from where my scorched earth policy female dog had spent some time. I think the really important thing to keep in mind is that you need to give grass a lot of water at first and prepare the existing lawn area for overseeding. That means you dethatched it in the spring and it's not a solid bed of clay-like soil. If you have to, amend with top soil or amendments that soften it up, water it in thoroughly, and then overseed.I found this was quite effective on our fescue grass lawn.

Grew the died
Okay so we put in all the seed a few days sprouting appeared within two weeks a good amount of grass and then all of it died walked out to patches of brown dead grass, really disappointed.
