LOVE LOVE LOVE it so much I just replaced my 6 yr old trimmer with the same one!
Do I actually need to add more than the title? :-) Okay, here we go: 6 years of HARD trimming, and the rotating pin thingy was finally wearing out so I knew it was time to replace it. Sure, the auto-advance feature hasn't worked since the second year, but everything else was so perfect I just didn't care that I had to pull the string manually every now and then, and no one's going to convince me to waste money and plastic spools by buying the prewound string just for that. I'm a very strong 60 yr old female who takes care of 1.5 acres by myself, but years of hand tools plus sewing has given me osteoarthritis in my finger joints so I can't bear the vibration from gas tools or too much weight, have medium sized hands so the grip on many power tools are too large to use for long, and at 5'4" have to be careful about the length. Just in case there was something better that fit my parameters, I spent a little time researching newer stuff and other brands, even made the mistake of ordering a different trimmer from this same brand (detailed review on that product page), but luckily was able to replace my original trimmer with the same model!! WOOHOOOOOOOO Evidently discontinued at the big box stores, but found it here on Amazon and couldn't be more grateful!Note that if you have a yard that requires much trimming, it's absolutely worth buying extra batteries (the large size!) and chargers, whatever you need to get the job done in one fell swoop - if that matters to you. I have a LOT of steep slopes and flower beds, as well as two very long drainage ditches with culverts, so I use almost every bit of my 4 chargers, 4 large batteries and 2 small batteries to get the full job done at one time. And if add edging for those beds and the driveway, I just make sure to pop the expended batteries on a charger as they die so I can keep rotating through some a second time - usually 2 more large batteries gets it done. I still get a bit sore in the hands, but nothing that can't be fixed with a paraffin dip followed by Unker's salve, and good to go the next day.So if you want something that doesn't take a death grip to keep running, a handle that fits an average woman's hand, adjustable length that shortens for a 5'4" person (or even shorter), doesn't vibrate, isn't too heavy or loud, runs a long time on the battery (esp on Low), trims and edges easily and nicely, can last a LOT of years under heavy use, and requires no maintenance but a hose-off after the job... then THIS is your trimmer!! And if you're willing to buy the prewound spools, the auto-feed probably works the entire time; that just doesn't matter to me. CANNOT RECOMMEND THIS SPECIFIC MODEL HIGHLY ENOUGH!!

Awesome!
This is my first battery powered lawn tool and I should have changed over a long time ago. I've used corded and gas powered trimmers in the past and this is just ridiculously easy.I'm 6'2" and the length is just long enough. If I was a couple inches taller it may be too short (I've maxed out the shaft). All of the parts seem sturdy and well thought out. Some things I read and my observations:1. Single string- I have only used low power and the single string is plenty powerful/strong enough for typical yard trimming.2. Feed- this is not automatic feed. If you let go of the trigger OR push the feed button the trimmer lets out more string. This is only a problem if you constantly start and stop the trimmer (which is most likely why some people report the string coming out too much/fast).3. Edger function- the head rotates for edging. It edges pretty cleanly once you figure out where the string contacts the edge. Again, a single string on the lower power was plenty for the edge of my driveway and sidewalk.I'd totally recommend this product. The batter has lasted two full trimming cycles for my lawn which I did not anticipate- my trimming (front and back) is probably a bit over average size for residential properties. The battery life is a pleasant surprise even keeping on most of the time- so the string didn't keep feeding.Haven't had to replace the string yet, so I cannot report on that.

Much better than the last battery powered but still room for improvement.
The Good: The battery seems to last and is fairly powerful. Not as powerful as a gas trimmer but acceptable. The whole trimmer is fairly light making it easier to handle. Easy to figure out how to use. No more worries about the gas going bad or the oil mix in the garage. The Bad: It's not very good for ergonomics, with a bad back this tool gets tough use very quickly with the way the tool is laid out. I'm tall and I feel I'm hunching over to get at the weeds. I don't like the auto feed function on the trimmer, it seems every time you let off the trigger, it feeds more even if you don't need it. This ends up wasting a lot of trimmer line but maybe that's the goal. I liked the version where you tap the bottom of the head on the ground and it feeds a bit allowing you to control the string. This just feeds when ever, it's not a huge deal but certainly annoying when you're moving to the next spot and you hear the line hitting the blade wasting line.
