Q: Does the sleeves at least cover half of the upper arm? I really don't like showing my arms.

The sleeves only cover the shoulder part of the arm. Just as it's shown in the image.

I'm built the exact same and went with my normal size and didn't wear any tummy tuck undies. It's your call because you need to feel comfortable. The dress on its own does a good job hiding the tummy.

The US 12 is considered an extra large.

I'm pretty close to your exact size (a little more weight) and the XL would be a perfect fit!
