We finally swapped out our outdated shower cartridge for this fresh model, and it's completely worth it. The process of installing was simple enough that we didn't require a plumber, and the best part? There are no leaks at all - pretty impressive indeed. Showers now feel rejuvenating due to its steady and uniform flow of water. Almost one month in use still rock solid in performance. We're very much content with this acquisition; it feels good because everything operates just as anticipated.

I installed it and it would not turn the water all the way off, I used the o rings and seals to rebuild my old cartridge so it worked.

The part came fast, the instructions were straight forward and for the most part it looked identical to the old cartridge. But when I tried to install the new one after cleaning the chamber and lubricating the cartridge, it was just too tight! After multiple tries to gently press it into position, I used a long socket and tapped it into place. After turning on the water, water was constantly leaking. Removal of the new cartridge destroyed the outer casing and I had to carefully rebuild the old cartridge with the new plunger/piston. The old rebuilt cartridge pressed in with a little bit of force and now seems to have stopped the leak.

Have a Moen shower from 1970. Used this replace the whole thing with a new cahteau trim. Removing the old one required stem puller tool but it came out. New one went in fine and new trim cover looks amazing. Looks like a new shower now.
