IR Remote Controller Adapt for Android Smart Phone,Haoweiming Mini Infrared Universal Control,All in One Air Conditioner/TV/DVD/STB (Micro USB)

My Galaxy S7 doesn't have built-in IR. I was bummed after I upgraded from my S6 where I was able to control all my IR devices, TVs and such. This was easy to set up, about 5 minutes, and all my TVs are programmed and controllable with my phone(S7). Now I don't have to get up to change the volume. Love it

Works great, so far it found remotes for 2 of my TV's and I created one for my Roku2 through the DIY menu! Downside was I had to trim back my phone case a little, but I was expecting that.UPDATE 11/20/17It overheated 2 phones to the point that the batteries would not charge and both phones had to be replaced. DO NOT BUY!!

The big problem is I tried it on my slightly older Seiki TV but it didn't work - apparently there are only two models in the app, but neither worked.Worse, only the zazaRemote app will work with this device on android, and it is horrible. I first have to scroll through a bunch of I think Chinese banners, then there is some strange entry screen, and then I might be able to select something. The app is flashy - literally, it flashes the buttons. I don't care about that, I just want it to be simple and work, but it doesn't, and there is no alternative.Note I could see it blasting out something with a camera in night mode, so the hardware is working.All the other remote Android apps require an IR blaster built into the phone or tablet. So the app is ugly, doesn't work, but there is no alternative.So this hardware is useless and I don't think there is any way to tell if your device will work with it before getting it.They need to hire someone that has a clean and working app for the internal blaster to add support for this.

Great little device for turning your phone into a television remote. I work in a hospital and there are a few different model televisions being used threw out. Now I can walk into any room and if I need to mess with the television all I have to do is plug this in my phone and I'm good to go. The reason I took one star away is that the device falls off of the strap to easily and I almost lost it. Make sure you keep it in a small bag or somewhere safe.

Problem is with all these "IR" is they DO NOT ADVERTISE the working frequency!!! If your AC, etc uses 2.4 GHZ, this WILL NOT WORK!!No where in the description do they give this spec!RIDICULOUS! being MOST appliances run on 2.4 GHZ!Make sure the appliance you will use it for is 5 GHZ!

Works on any android device that supports ipone . Has a long range, and supports a number of TVs, projectors, Cable Boxes, basically anything that has IR tech, it works on. You only need to download the app provided to you on the product.
