Mixes well
I like that this is just clean protein without the other stuff. I tried this in soup and also porridge but I did find it altered the texture too much for me. So as part of my routine I mix a bit with water and shot it, then wash down with water directly before I have breakfast and lunch. It's easy to mix and doesnt clump. There is a slight veggie essence to it when you take it with water but that would probably disappear when added to a smoothie (I'm not a smoothie fan). Good value for money and obviously a popular choice from the reviews.

Tasty; mixes well. Great stuff.
I bought this to add a bit of variety to my protein intake - whey is my staple and I wanted something a bit different. The bag is larger than it looks in the photo, and it certainly seems like a decent amount for the money. The second thing I noticed is that the zip-lock on the bag could be better. It's not terrible, but I have to check the seal a few times before putting it away, and I certainly wouldn't trust it in the event of an accident (bag meets floor scenario). The product itself is excellent. It mixes very well with a bit of water to produce a very light, creamy, almost foamy liquid, similar to a pea soup (which, you might say, is exactly what it is!). I find the taste to be agreeable. It has an earthy taste of the kind you would expect from one of those hippy health drinks. Not that the taste matters all that much, but it helps if I don't have to wince as it goes down. I'll be coming back for more once I've finished this bag.Update: I've started to use this a bit in cooking, as the creamy texture it produces can really enhance certain foods. I find it useful to add a spoonful to a risotto at the end to really bring out a nice richness. You only need a bit.

Does the job
Switched to pea protein after the price of whey went through the roof. It's fine. The thing to remember is that it's unflavoured - not flavourless. It definitely does have a bit on an earthy-peapod kind of taste. Not at all offensive but noticeable. It's pretty good for making pasta sauces - just add a load to some milk and a bit of water and you instantly have a really thick sauce. Again, not Michelin Star quality, but absolutely acceptable.

Changed the game for me
I love this product! I started using it after using a very good protein/meal replacement product that’s sweetened with Stevia and is vegan. I’m not a vegan but I’m not into whey. However, the protein shake I was taking was expensive. So I read the ingredients in it and one of the proteins were pea protein. So I saw this and thought save money. I now use 20 grams of this in a smoothie, which provides about 16 grams of protein then I add an avocado, 20 grams of mixed nuts, 60 grams of frozen raspberries and a very ripe banana for sweetness and energy. Then I have 2 eggs. This way I get everything I need from breakfast, being a person that works out a lot. This is my second bag and my new routine is cost effective. Sometimes when I’ve not taken enough protein I’ll add 10 grams of this to something. Also one bag costs me £20 and is plenty for 2 months. This is really handy and affordable for me.

Great product !!!!!
I have seen many negatives reviews and it is very disappointing.Let me say this, this protein is plain, with no additives or colours so of course it won’t taste nice on its own.I found Pulsin over a decades ago when there was no crave for proteins or proteins bars and I was looking for a UK based company and for something truly natural that I can add to my food since I am lactose and gluten intolerant. This is just perfect.I use it in smoothies and soups and it tastes great. Since it is tasteless adding sweetener or honey or anything of your choice to add the taste you desire. If you are looking for something you can just mix with water or milk then this isn’t for you. Don’t blame the product but buy a product that fits your needs.I have not tried baking with it but again I am sure I will be happy with it.Bottom line, this is a great product for those looking for pure plant based protein.

A solid, nutritious product not for the fussy palette.
This stuff serves a purpose and fulfils it pretty well.As a vegan friendly protein supplement , it is nutritionally sound , with a very high protein content and decent micronutrient content compared to some other alternatives . Flavour wise, it has quite a strong , savoury taste which can’t really be masked or effectively sweetened. However, it’s not unpleasant as long as you’re not expecting it to taste like a dessert. This stuff actually mixes / dissolves well compared to other protein supplements with no chunks or lumps , even when quickly stirred into water . However it doesn’t quite fully dissolve, leaving a sort of granular texture , which I don’t mind personally, but isn’t the most pleasant or palatable quality. If what you want is no nonsense, vegan friendly nutrition at a good price, this is a good option. However, I wouldn’t recommend this for people with fussy or sensitive palettes or with high expectations regarding flavour . This product is bare-bones in that regard but a good option overall .

Not bad
A bit grainy and it did add a funny taste to my soup. In future I will use 10g instead of 20g but I won't be buying again as the protein is not that high.

Great protein powder
Great product…. I use to add to smoothies. I got the pea protein version as I was afraid the hemp may be very strong! (I haven’t tried it but know the smell can be overwhelming) I am delighted with this as I add one tablespoon to my smoothie and it doesn’t affect the taste or Texture of the blend.Great value for money and I will repurchase this once I run out. I hope this helps others thinking of adding this into their routine.
