Is this any good for 125cc motorcycle tyres?

They will work on any bike tyre as long as it has no inner tube

why can it not be used on public roads

As the customer below said it is to cover their ownback sides.I am of the understanding you can use this type of repair once only per tyre repair.In the days before elf n safety and American culture of sueing people you could plug the tyre or fit a inner tube but in these days of grabbing every penny they have it is not suprising they have no confidence in their products,travelling in France last year I had a slow puncture went to the local garage it was repaired by this method and has not failed to this day.

Does it come with instructions?

No, mine didn't. But there are plenty of YouTube videos on tyre repair using this sort of a repair material and kit.

My tyre has a rip in it. Would this solve the problem??

no .... plugs are only of use for repairs on the centre tread and for a sharp penetration, a rip means damage to coords and that makes the tyre unsafe, even a tyre fitter (which i used to be) would refuse to attempt a repair as that is unsafe. Plugging is a last resort for emergency "get you home" repairs. i bought it for touring expeditions where i may find myself in a secluded area.
