Sturdy & secure
Bought this for pool use for $28-- works very well. I inflated the cooler with an Intex air pump, so I cannot guess as to how difficult it would be to "blow it up", but I would not personally want to try...Has a well made 'free-floating' style covering over all the inflated parts-- this keeps everything protected quite well. This cover has 2 sturdy handles situated on opposite sides lengthwise for ease of transport.Interior is quite deep-- large enough for 2 bottles of wine, 2 liter sodas, etc-- or will hold many smaller bottles of beer/soda, plus ice. This will NOT hold a bag of ice & case of beer-- it is not intended to replace a full-size cooler. It is meant to be practical & convenient--- not a complete bar area.Has a zipper top, so if for some reason it gets tipped over --- and you know it will-- everything stays INSIDE.Has 6 places to hold drinks-- they are snuggish, so drinks won't just fall out at every jostle. Each has a number so you won't get each other's drinks mixed up.I would like to note that the cover has 2 lanyard 'tabs' at each end so that it can be tethered or attached to something.I do not know if this would be good to take river-tubing with, but I think it would be okay if you didn't need to carry an entire convenience store with you or go white-water rafting--- simple floating excursions should be fine with this style cooler.Overall-- a very good value for my money. We are really enjoying it in our pool..

Kept Drinks All Day!! The Best!!
Awesome!! Needed a floating cooler for our trip to the Kern River. Due to the unfavorably reviews for the other brand not keeping ice for more then an hour I decided to try this. Filled cooler with ice at 9:00am. By Noon I still had 80% ice compared to melted warm water in my friends large round floating cooler. 4pm: 30% ice, with mostly ice cold water. still ice cold!!Yes, I agree, the cooler is not the largest option. Since the top lid zips into place you can really pack it out. I had 12 cans in there at one time. Once the ice starts to melt you can add even more. I was the envy of the other river rats all weekend.

Floating cooler
The cooler compartment is not too big holding about 6-10 cans depending on how much ice you use. It holds temperature well keeping your beverages nice and cold. It's built well and floats like a charm. My biggest negative is the valve used to inflate and deflate. It is VERY TRICKY! I had to use an air pump to inflate and had a very hard time holding the valve just so to deflate it. That needs to be fixed. Otherwise I would have given it 5 stars.

Mixed Feelings about This
I was fairly set on getting a cooler for the pool. Nothing hurts your feet more than the hot pavers around the pool baking in the sun when you have to walk over to the garage fridge to grab another drink.I purchased it based on the price and the 2 good reviews on Amazon.Pros:Easy to inflateMade of fairly tough materialCord to attach to yourself to keep your beer near youInflates EasilyIce stayed cold/frozen for quite a whileDrinks fit snugly into the holdersCons:With ice, I barely got 6 bottles of beer in this cooler. I know the description mentions cans, but I haven't drank beer from a can since college.Overall, if you are buying this for personal use, pick one up, it is a very good little cooler. But if you are buying this so that friends dont have to get up and go to the fridge when they are swimming at your house, buy a few of them...they don't hold nearly enough.

Not as big as it looks
It's not quite a big as it looks. There is a TON of insulation which is great... I suppose... but takes up a ton of room. It comes all folded up real neatly in a little package with a handle. Well, you will never get it to collapse back again. Once you blow it up, it will not deflate easily. Even if you to get most of the air out of it you won't get it all out so it will never go back in the package. The can holders are just that... CAN holders. They are too small for a cup. All that being said it's nice setting up a small floating "bar" so you don't have to get out of the pool (quite so often).

Durable
I have used my cooler for 15 years. Floating down a river, dragging on rocks and it has survived. I tie it to my floatie and sometimes use it as a foot rest. It is so durable and stable. I would recommend this cooler for anyone.I purchased this particular one for a friend.

Great product! Perfect for a day at the lake. This is the second one that we've bought (the last one was just ANCIENT). They hold up for YEARS and thats great considering how much time they spend out in the sun.

well made and perfect in every way
This product is so great we are going buy them as gifts for all our friends with boats and pools. the cooler has a great cover which protects the inflatable portion. this makes it look much better than a pool toy and protects it from the sun, scratches etc. it also has plastic tethers and canvas handles on either side so you can clip it to your boat. another great feature is that the carrying case actually zips into the float which means 1) you wont loose the case 2) you can store little things like keyes, kids toys, sunglasses etc, under the float in the zippered area!!! thats really great for parents who always get stuck holding toys. inside the cooler area there is actually a separate container bag which comes out so you can pour out water without having to flip the entire cooler. you can also use this bag to separate food from drinks etc. true- it only holds about 6 bottles of beer with ice... but for us cocktail drinkers, the vodka and mixers fit perfectly with tons of room left over for ice, waters and snacks. enjoy!
