Great idea and my go to drill. I have many in my workshop. From DeWalt too well you get the idea.Great idea for switching bits out quickly. Battery lasts forever. Only two draw backs if you want to call it that.You can only use hex ended bits and when spinning the head around it would nice if it were larger to hold countersinking bits ETC. Otherwise perfect idea.

I’m constantly changing bits every day and losing them because I have nowhere to keep them and wasting time changing the bits out this saves me time and is convenient and I’m never losing my driver bits now. You can even hold your screws on top by a magnet the battery charges quickly and you can even power other devices with the battery by USB and you can charge the battery with standard USB-C also really good price

I'm sure that there are some subpar Skil tools out there but Everytime I buy or use one I am impressed with quality and the price is always fantastic.

To preface, I'm a retired contractor, so I'm a bit particular about my powertools. I have some of the Skil 12 volt line, and have really been impressed by it for tasks that don't need big power. Mostly what I do now is building stuff around the ranch and repairing my own equipment. I was initially a bit disappointed in this item, mainly because I didn't read the product description well enough and assumed it was an impact. It is not an impact, it's a drill, so no hammering action. The description clearly states it's a drill, so my bad on that.The more I use this tool, the more I like it. I use it mainly as a driver; I have a Phillips bit on one chuck, and a reversible 1/4 and 5/16 nut setter on the other. That combination covers about 90% of what I do, so I can carry around one tool that handles most screws. I have to shift to low gear when I need real torque, which is why I normally like impacts. But that's not the end of the world. It's now my go-to for everyday tasks.Nice that it will also work on the 12 volt battery, I have several of them. Power is a bit less, though, which is expected.Time will tell if it holds up, but if you're a homeowner who wants to just buy one drill, this is a good choice.

Love this thing, very smart. I know others commented on its lack of power. I use my impact for those. I got this this morning along with the skil bit set to redo some cabinets and this little tool paid for itself by having both needed bits to drill and screw in one tool.It was so handy my partner who is a dewalt fanatic said he might buy one and paint it yellow and black😁I would highly recommend this.

I like the drill. The engineering design by skil is definitely unique and innovative. BUT, on this site, so far Ive returned one and received another in its place. both were clearly used and sold as new. The second one didn’t even have the right battery size. Suggest purchasing of the drill elsewhere.
