Loud Noise Easily Fixed
I have had Wahl clippers for about 20 years and buy a new set every couple years. Usually with a budget model at Walmart, so I finally decided to upgrade to a professional set for cutting mine and my 5 sons’ hair.I plugged it in after reading so many reviews about how loud it was, and was pleased at how quiet it was. I handed it to my wife and it was immediately loud. I used a screwdriver to adjust the speed control on the side and it quieted right down. With 20 seconds of turning the screw on the side, it was quiet. One of my sons has extremely thick hair. For years, the Wahl trimmers would pull, catch, and snag, making him wince in pain. With these Andis Master clippers, it not only cut without bogging down the motor, but I didn’t have to go over it multiple times to get stragglers. I was able to give a great fade with minimal effort.I only regret that I didn’t do this 15 years ago. I would have saved so much money on cheap clippers. I expect these to last a lifetime. They did become quite warm after 35 minutes and 3 haircuts, but not too hot to hold.

The presentation and packaging couldn't be any less impressive. Oh, and it's not working.
EDIT: The review below deals with the poor packaging and presentation of this product. When I got around to trying it, it turned out to be defective. Loud humming. After adjusting the power with a screw driver, I discovered that the blade is not moving at all. Amending my un-enthusiastic 2 star review to a very annoyed 1 star. It's a shame this formerly respected brand has become such a joke.I'm writing this review before my first use of this product. I don't think I'll have anything important to add to those written by others, when it comes to functionality. I hope this will be a great machine that lasts me a lifetime. I ordered this because I have always used this brand, I like the all-metal body and the old timey look. I made this decision even though other brands are getting higher scores and better reviews. However, I have to say the packaging is a complete joke. The box doesn't even deserve the description "card board". It's basically made of thick paper. It arrives in a depressing state, no surprise, especially since Amazon is using those bags for mailing your stuff. Then, upon opening, I learned that one of the most expensive clippers on this site does not even have included clip-on combs, as is customary with even the cheapest of products. Those will cost you another 25 bucks! The least I would have expected is some sort of carrying case or at least a pouch. This is a poor and borderline offensive presentation. And that should be reflected in the rating of a product.

Super loud and rattle
Quality control is so bad. 3rd pair I bought just this year, all of them rattle and I can't adjust them to run right.Btw, I have been a barber for 43 yrs and have always used this brand. I've been so disappointed the last few yrs, I've tried to change the clippers I use. Unfortunately I can't seem to get the feel for the other brands and keep coming back to Andis. I still have the original Andis clippers that I used in barber school and they still run! They changed the design and I can't get the replacement cord that they used to make and carry. So I'm stuck with buying new clippers at the minimum of once a yr. SMH, what a shame used to be such a great company.

VERY Impressed!
I am 54 years old and have been cutting hair, mine, my 3 boys’ and others, since I was in the Marine Corps 25 years ago. Through the decades, I’ve ALWAYS used Wahl products with one exception, I tried some pricey BabyBliss Pro cordless and hated them. On the cordless note, I’ve been using cordless clippers for probably 5+ years, most recently Wahl 5-Star Senior Pros. Long story short, my hair cuts have been sucking, not because of my skills for the most part, just crappy cutting so I decided to try another clipper. After reading 100’s of reviews, it occurred to me that my problem was probably due to the lack of cutting power in cordless clippers and so I decided to go back to corded clippers and give the Andi’s Masters a try. Wow!! Is really all I can say. These clippers simply rock a fast a flawless cut and fades like a dream. I gave myself the best cut I’ve had in years and in half the time it takes me with cordless clippers. I have a slick back hair style with a low fade, probably 0” around the ears to 3” on top, and these clippers blended it all flawlessly in less than 25 minutes. There are quite a few negative comments about the noise and the heat. Mine were quiet as clippers come straight out of the box but this can be adjusted, simply follow the directions or look up a YouTube video on how to reduce the noise of your clippers, most clippers, not just these. Mine did start to get warm around the time I finished my cut 20-25 minutes in but nothing uncomfortable or a few minutes of cool down wouldn’t solve. So far these Andi Masters are the best clippers I’ve owned, corded or cordless, more expensive and less, period. It’s worth mentioning the difference between corded and cordless itself is rather astonishing. If your cordless clippers aren’t cutting it, try a good pair of corded and you’ll see the difference immediately. That said, these Andi Masters are far better than my last pair of more expensive, corded Wahl Seniors and the difference is noticeable immediately. I won’t be going back to Wahl any time soon. I highly recommend this particular product without hesitation.

These are the standard
Barber of 15 years here. These are a standard in every barber shop. Everybody complaining about the noise does not know how to use them. On the right side of them is a screw that takes a flat head screwdriver to adjust it to align the blades perfectly. There's a YouTube video there's actually a lot of them. There's even AI that can explain to you how to do this. The blades come sharp as they are supposed to they're very comfortable and the adjustable blade is needed for the best performance.
