my grand daughter is a wide fitting is this a problem ?

I bought these boots for my daughter and although a 13G she finds the boots very comfortable. They are laced all the way up so just make sure you loosen them off before tying. I'm sure returning them is no problem if she tries them and they're not comfortable enough. :D

I would get the size 5. I am actually a 5.5 and the 5 was a generous fit even with thick socks.

Do i need to buy a size bigger than i am?

Well I'm a size 4 and bought a size 4, i found that the skates don't fit perfectly like shoes do which is good so you have a bit of room to wear thick socks. I think they take into account the need for room in boots as they aren't tight at all. Unless you have wide feet, then maybe.
