Honeywell Home DC915N Series 9 Portable, Wireless LED Doorbell Chime with Push Button (White)

I have a garden office that a single Honeywell transmitter is just out of reach for. (Intermittent firing).The user guide states that the receivers act as their own transmitter but Honeywell themselves couldn't clarify if that extended the range.It does. I've one receiver in the dining room, another in the garden office and it works perfectly now. This is through walls, past structures like a pergola and a greenhouse and 150mm of Cedar, OSB, Plaster and PIR insulation.The initial unit worked only 50% of the time (100m distance through all this stuff) but the second unit worked perfectly.Recommended, I have a video doorbell but the lag was such that it was unusable hence going back to the old style. It just works and without lag and I don't need to recharge it every three months.

Good door bail and loud enough for every room in round of the house but sometime the door button can get stuck and ball will kept go off all the time!

I am a double hearing aid user and found this doorbell not much use.The max volume is 90db but I could not hear it unless in the same room.The 'chimes' and tunes do not play for long enough to get your attention.There is also a lag between pressing the bell and the chimes starting,the postman can be halfway down the road before I get to the door!The instructions that came with it were next to useless and ended up trawling the Internet to find out how to use it.Given this is recommended for the deaf and hard of hearing I was very disappointed.Having lived with this doorbell for a while I have now upped the stars to 5!New hearing aids mean that the sound is now just right!

I ordered this particular alarm 1 .I am Hard of Hearing 2, I have a son who suffers from epilepsy strobe can trigger a fit .I did not get the 17 series because it states Halo and Strobe information on this one needs correcting .Also on front it does say battery 1 included in bell need 4 for alarm itself, in further information says batteries included again should state clearly false information. I think I have found out how to turn strobe off I hope ,also would be handy to have some written information to work alarm ,had to spend some time trying to turn strobe off and adjust sound etc. would be a lot easier with just a few sentences enclosed not having and hoping signs that might or might not do what you want.

Works perfectly (so far) for my home office in the garden.I needed a door bell that could reach from the front door (UPVC frame), through the house and conservatory (total maybe 7m), to the back of the garden (a further 10m) where I have a home office in a wooden cabin. I initially ordered (and returned) the "Wireless Doorbell, NOVETE 1300ft Long Range Door Chime" which struggled to work the length of the garden. I appreciate that the quoted 1300ft (400m) is in free space, but it was struggling at 10m. Not good. Thanks to Amazon for giving me a refund. So I increased my budget from £27 to £49 - and a reputable brand (Honeywell quotes 200m in free space). It works like a charm. Very pleased.As they say: "Buy cheap. Buy twice."

When opened it became clear that this was a 'returned' product. The plastic bag containing the screws had been opened and the long screws for the chime were missing as were the rawlplugs. The instructions had been folded differently. The battery had been inserted into the bell push. Maybe the company which supplied the item should, upon return, actually check that the items are intact before sending it out again.

Had to replace my old mains electric doorbell when it finally gave up so after researching I chose this Honeywell one. The design of both the doorbell and chime box ensures that they both illuminate when activated, the doorbell in red and the chime box (flashing) in blue. (There may be a choice of colours). A menu of different chime sounds and peels are available (which sound a little mechanical) and the volume is loud and clear. Both the doorbell and chime box run on batteries (not supplied) and the option to screw them in place in order to secure them is available as these supplies are included. The chime box is also freestanding, allowing it to be moved for personal convenience. I recommend this Honeywell doorbell as I am very pleased with the result and the Westminster chime is lovely!

Only a few months after purchase the bell push did not work properly. It had to be pressed and held in for about 3 to 4 seconds before it would work which of course nobody does! A notice to this effect was placed on the door but this was not successful. A few months later the bell continued to sound even when the bell push was released. The only way to get it to stop was to remove the batteries. It worked ok again after replacing the batteries but the same thing happened after a short time. I contacted Amazon who informed me that the item was just outside of the warranty period. Regardless of this, the item was replaced free of charge. Five stars for Amazon but only one for Honeywell. The replacement item is working fine to date and I just hope it continues to do so. I certainly would not recommend this product. I would be interested to know if Honeywell reads these reviews! Thank you Amazon for a very customer friendly service! Back to the drawing board Honeywell!
