I never expected a lighter to be this much fun. If you do it right, you can even use it to do a fake dot-matrix print on paper! Given the size of the opening for the electric connections, I'm reasonably sure it's intended more for smoking, but it does light our fireplace rather well. It will directly light a piece of wood, as long as you can get a corner of it in the 'beams'. I cannot say for sure about the battery life, but I've only charged it twice in the few weeks I've had it and almost ALL of the use has probably been more ABUSE than USE. I am SOO tempted to see if I can get this amazing little thing to spot weld thin sheet metal together!

Great product. Love using it on windy days. No fail light.

I don't smoke, but I do like to carry a lighter on me at all times. Never know when you need fire for something. I bought this I would have to continue to buy fuel. It works fairly well, but it does have its limitations.It's great to use bite cigarets or burn paper or dry tinder to start a fire, but if you need something to fuse rope or melt some chocolate or something along those lines then you'll still need a regular lighter.

I purchased an Atomic Lighter last year and I ordered/received a second one in October, a month ago. I am very pleased with these lighters because they are exactly as described and easy to use with arthritic hands and fingers. Only one problem; thebutton on the first lighter weakened. Guess it was the spring. My son made a repair and it's still working. Really, I bought the second lighter just to have one in reserve. I am that confident with the product.

The media could not be loaded. Depending on it purpose of use . It does what it say it will do some things are hard to light like candle with a tall glass frameGood for cigarettes stoves, fire place, open candle, shoe laces, camp frie ps there other one now available that are for certain purpose that has the same plasma Flame

I do not write Amazon reviews but I felt like I had to for this item. This item is a total waste of money and it does not even work. I fully charged it for a few hours and started to light things such as paper. Within maybe a total of 5 seconds of having the lighter on it just stopped working on me. I charged it more and it worked for maybe 3 seconds but then stopped again. I am returning this item and you are better off buying a lighter from the dollar tree

I really love the atomic lighter i use it to light my cigarettes it is so nice to not have a sore thumb from flicking my zippo all I have to do is push a button and it’s true what they say it works in wind and rain and it’s a Atomic tough I love it and im a very satisfied customer I would recommend this lighter to family and friends very highly recommended I love it I even accidentally dropped it a couple of times and it still works what a great lighter

It works in sustained 65 MPH wind to light a cigarette! The only thing with this unit is you kind of have to put the cigarette in their side ways to get the corner of it lit. If the opening was just a touch bigger it would be perfect. But overall better than trying to use the old fashioned push button lighter....... when you are riding and drop this one it is not hot!
