Fishing Pliers 8.5 Inches Stainless Steel Straight Jaw Plier for Removing Hook and Cutting Lines

It is fairly large, which is hard to tell from the picture.

After reading many of the reviews I'm wondering if I have the same set of pliers. I fish only in fresh water and these pliers have been wet many times, no problem. I don't know if these pliers a really 100% stainless or what the coating is but the coating has never chipped, the pliers have never rusted and the opening and closing is smooth even with minimal maintenance. Originally I had concerns about the length being longer than the typical fishing pliers but now I find the length an asset and it is possible to remove a deeply hooked fish with minimal damage to the animal, a real plus in my book. Good pliers, good length, good quality, works for me.

This is not stainless steel. used it one time for speckle trout fishing and the next time I went to use it, they were rusted out and couldn't open them. Shame that they are trying to pass these as stainless. Rust big time after one use. Can't use them anymore.

The pliers is very stiff to open and close. Tried wd40 and still really stiff.

These are not stainless steel. How many more customer complaints of rust do you need? Two weeks use and they were rusted shut. Not even wd40 opened them. Garbage. Bet I don't get a re fund.

This is a very nice set of pliers. The saltwater does cause some corrosion in the pivot bolt, but is easily remedied with a little silicone.

NOT Stainless Steel as advertised. Useless in saltwater conditions. 2 weeks use in attached photo. Pulled rubber grips off to further expose pliers are regular carbon steel. Forced to give 1 star rating to post.

I liked these but wish they opened farther...
