Works great. Remember to remove with Lukewarm water.
Kept my tattoos safe during the healing process. I did itch a bit but that's normal from a tattoo when it heals. It met and exceded my standards. Removal was a bit tedious but with a bit of water it went smoothly. Just use scent free soap to clean.

Consistently reliable, perfect tattoo healing product!
I got my first tattoo back around roughly 2014. At the time, Saniderm wasn't a widely used product. I lucked out in that my chosen artist happened to use it, and my first experience with it was fantastic. The tattoo healed quickly and well! Fast forward several years and I just got my 4th tattoo. This time my artist didn't use it at all, oddly enough, so I had to order some online. I liked the idea of having extra both for the future and just in case I messed something up somehow (yeah, I was overthinking it!). I wasn't sure if anything had changed in all these years, and I'm thrilled to report it hasn't! This stuff just works for tattoo purposes. I've never had any negative reaction to adhesives, however, so mind that if you do. Otherwise, this stuff is a literal and figurative life saver. No worries about washing or moisturizing or which products to use or whatever else. I have extremely sensitive skin and allergies to a LOT of things, but Saniderm makes it possible for me to get any and all tattoos I want without worry. As long as you remove it in the shower under warm water and in the direction of the hair growth, it's like pulling off a freshly applied bandaid. No pain, no ripping sensation like getting waxed, nothing but the sensation of it pulling off. Applying it to your skin is like applying a screen protector to an electronic device such as your phone or tablet. Peel the first layer being careful not to touch the adhesive underneath, apply to skin, peel the last layer off and there you go. Couldn't have been simpler, and there are clearly marked perforations to help you locate where to peel from. The only 'work' involved was cutting it to size and rounding the edges as per instructions. After removal, my tattoo is now going through its natural flaking process, but I avoided worry of infection and the initial week of healing and couldn't be happier with the results. If you've never tried it (and you don't have any known issues with adhesives), absolutely do! Either way, I can confidently say it's the only healing product I will ever use for such purposes again!

Worked well
Works great. Had a large tattoo done on my thigh. Had to wear jeans to work so I bought this to keep it from getting irritated. Worked well, but had problems with it peeling off. Had to change it more than intended and it hurt like a mf to take off. Tattoo healed better than any other tattoo I’ve had so I think it still deserves 5 stars. You also won’t have to deal with the annoying scabbing faze of the healing process. Would work perfectly for a smaller tattoo.

A Must Have for Tattoo Lovers
Saniderm is amazing. Seriously. I have a near-completed full sleeve of neotrad tattoos and without this stuff I would have been doomed years ago. For tattoos with heavy color or black work this stuff is gold. It (mostly) stops the ink and plasma from leaking all over the place after the tattoo, makes it possible to work, plus makes the day after so much easier to deal with. The worst thing after hours of tattooing the previous day, is waking up the next day to deal with not just the bruising/tender skin but also dealing with the dirty sheets or shirt with ink stains that NEVER come out. It’s safe and efficient if you use it right.Keep in mind, this stuff is made to stick onto heavily traumatized skin and protect it, so it’s not going to just come off easy peasy. Don’t treat it like a bandaid, cause if you do, you’re going to rip off a lot of skin around the tattoo and risk scarring as well as a lot of pain. Go on the website, read the instructions, and when it comes to taking it off, get in the shower. Trust me. Wash your body with low temp water, washing your hands and avoiding the saniderm, and then turn it down to basically lukewarm. If you can lower your water pressure do, and start from the very top of the piece. Try to slowly lift a corner while under the spray, and very carefully peel downwards. While doing this, I think of it as having to wash off the adhesive on the part sticking to my skin, go really really slowly and try to let the water do the work. It takes FOREVER for big pieces but I have yet to scar myself or rip off my skin.Just be careful, be sanitary, and go slowly and you’ll be just fine :)

Some allergies, but GREAT product!
I did a patch test on my hand which was fine. Tattoo is on upper arm and I ended up having a reaction on the more sensitive skin under my arm. Day one caused a blister that I just couldnt take anymore, so I peeled it upwards and trimmed. I then got a second line of blistered skin at the new location and in general this product made it feel like a constant sunburn. The tougher skin on the outside of my arm only got slightly red and no blistering. There was absolutely no reaction on my tattoo. Only the edges of the saniderm were affected, but I feel my artist used a little too big of a piece. That being said, I'm a nurse and covered with this to protect from germs at the hospital. I felt the tattoo was 100% protected and that's a huge relief for me. My forearm is next which I do plan to test again to see if that area of skin can handle it and am very hopeful to continue to be able to use this product.I left my first piece on 2 1/2 days, removed it and left my second piece on 1 more day at work. Completely skipped the scabby stage!Aside from my little blisters, this does not hurt to take off which I did with both the dry and wet method. I actually think dry is easier.

Speeds Up Healing – Way Less Hassle
I’ve used Saniderm (or similar second skin products) on about half of my tattoos, and I honestly prefer it every time. It helps them heal much faster and with a lot less hassle. No constant washing and reapplying ointment—just apply it and let it do its thing. Definitely makes the healing process cleaner and more comfortable. I highly recommend using second skin if you haven’t tried it yet!
