It is a perfectly acceptable float
I haven't done any grouting for years but needed to grout some new floor tiles. I didn't want to spend a lot on a float as grouting is a very occasional bit of DIY, however I was happy to find that this float will probably be usable many more times before I need to replace it. There is a decent amount of rubber protecting the spongier part and it seemed to have the correct amount of give and enough resistance to push grout into the gaps between the tiles. I will probably only need to replace it when I lose it
