I love these pants. They have enough shape that, as long as my top has some shape or is cropped, they're very flattering. They're a great, medium weight denim that I can wear year-round in Tucson. The button and zipper are high quality and secure. The elastic means they won't upset my belly (it's overly sensitive) with too much pressure and I don't really need too use the button closure... But, with cropped tops with the hi-lo hemline, they look fabulous, especially with a groovy belt!Big pockets. Did I mention I'm a fan of pockets? So many American brands have decided we only need them for looks or maybe to hook or thumbs in, but not to carry even a lip gloss or folded bill. Since these are baggy, their pockets can fit almost the contents of my purse without bulging! I can certainly carry my keychain wallet and not fear that I'll lose it or that it's making an unsightly lump.True ankle length - maybe a bit longer - on my 5'9" frame. I weigh about 175lbs but have a belly that likes to puff out (I'm working with my doc on it) but if you can't stand pressure on your belly, give these and this company's wide-leg jeans a try. Anyway, after several trips through the washer and dryer, with no special treatment, they've kept their length and grow ever-softer. They're starting to feel like lounge-wear instead of jeans. Need I say more? And that's without fabric softener.If you like the style, I suggest you give them a try. Everything I've bought from this seller has fit my tall, American frame exactly as shown. They really use American sizes. And they craft their clothing with care.I'm all about "buy American" but most of our brands are made overseas anyway. I understand being wary of buying clothes online - that's why I gave you my measurements. If you're much shorter than me, you might want to have them hemmed - but they'd look awfully cute rolled too! I am actually excited to have found this brand and want to support them so I can look forward to future offerings! I don't write a lot of reviews, but those I write are either a warning or an endorsement. I highly recommend these jeans and this company.
