I bought an old desk that had a filing drawer but no way to hang suspension folders so this seemed to be a good idea. It arrived quickly and with clear instructions so that I could quickly assemble it to fit the dimensions of the drawer. I now have all the files hanging with quite a lot of paperwork in them and the frame is solid and not moving or buckling…would definitely recommend it!

Keeps files tidy in the drawers

Bought these to repair a wooden filing cabinet drawer, which had been over-stuffed with paperwork and had splayed apart. I used the original rail holes and an empty drop file as a guide to drilling and fixing in these replacement rails and they work a treat, with the added benefit of the rails pulling the front and rear of the drawer togetheragain. Strong steel and decent chrome plating, the only criticism is the fixing screws are countersunk heads but none of the fixing holes are countersunk. Would be neater with countersunk holes in the rails.

For me on my own it was fiddly to contruct but it is fantastic and holds all my Annie's Keepers.Crossstitchers in UK and USA will understand

Conversion of a cupboard with 4 shelves into a filing system for the office

I have a 4 drawer filing cabinet built to take foolscap suspension files. I bought this product to convert to A4. Alas when I assembled the frames, I discovered that the frames were too small (on the width) to accept A4 hanging folders. The frame is NOT the same shape as illustrated on the box or on the web page. Pity really as it seemed a good idea. So, in conclusion, do not buy this if you intend to use it with standard A4 folders.
