Great diffused lights
While these light strips are designed for wrapping round a desk, I have used them to add colour to a textured wall behind a sofa. The light is so diffused it's impossible to see the individual LEDs even close up which gives a great effect. They are easy to cut to length (cut at the dots marked) and then configure the new length in the Govee app. For those wanting to install between wall wood slats like me, they are slightly too wide for slats from WVH so I simply put them on the edge most piece of each panel. The backs of the strips have a nice quality sticker on the back. The quality seems equally as good as Hue strips I have elsewhere in my house albeit the app isn't quite as nice. The app isn't an issue for me since I have connected it up via Home Assistant to switch on with my Hue switch / motion sensor. The only downside is this is it connects over WiFi rather than Zigbee, which may be a benefit for those not wanting to use Home Assistant or similar.

Good but not amazing.
I got these for my son''s birthday for his new ps5 setup a few months ago and they look great and have a brilliant colour range. Only downsides are that they overheat easily after having them on for more than an hour, you have to be careful while placing them or else the glue will stick to your desk and lastly, you can't reuse them so I don't think the price is appropriate and should be taken down a few quid. Though we did end up with a nice illuminated studio flat and a happy son so I just think it can have 4 stars because they are packaged nicely and look great.

Govee Desk Rope Light
These things are outstanding and I use them in my capacity as a DJ and they are installed onto my Gorilla DJ Booth i.e 2 side panels and 2 front panels and the 3M version is more than enough and can be cut to length and calibrated once installed.I purchased 6 in total and the other two I wrap around my Bose L1 speakers and once activated and synced using the Govee app they are an absolute joy to view and are fully programmable (sound to light etc) along with all manner of preset patterns.

Good lights
I love Govee lights and these desk lights are very good. However, mine broke not long after using them. If you play driving simulators I would avoid putting these lights at the front of your desk. I clamped my wheel onto my desk and I believe this broke them. This was my own mistake and I would still definitely recommend.
