The best toothbrush I've ever had, but not perfect
I have been using this for around a week now and I absolutely believe it is worth the rather extensive cost.Perhaps an element of placebo effect applies or detemination to have gotten my money's worth but I genuinely do not believe my teeth have felt cleaner than following using this brush. In addition it feels less aggressive and less harsh during use than all my previous electric brushes despite resulting in a cleaner feel - perhaps this is the brush head design. On the note of brush head design, there is a slight gap left between the brush head and the motor/battery body shoulder. I'm not sure what the purpose of this is as aesthetically it looks slightly strange and from a usage perspective it results in somewhat trapping the toothpaste/water that drips down the neck of the brush head and needs washing either with higher pressure water or with the head removed rather than just a mere rinse off. When comparing to other electric brushes I also note they have opted to remove the rubberized coating that most feature on the outside. That makes this slightly slippery when wet and does reduce grip, however, it also reduces liability of pressing too hard (which this brush will alert you of) and that rubber material was also the most susceptible to damage, discolouration and general collection of dirt/grime so I would argue this is an improvement. The charge base is fantastic and almost scifi looking, however, with the removal of the small protrusion to secure older brushes this means that you can easily knock the brush off charge by mistake as it is very much just a flat base that charges. The app is very detailed and will tell you if you are covering each section of your mouth adequately. The wifi/bluetooth configuration was not smooth for me - it errored a great deal before finally working but has not had a single issue since. The battery is lasting approximately 10 sessions before needing charging but this will vary depending on intensity and duration of session. Recharging is not rapid. The travel case is by far the weakest part of the whole package. While it is functional, it feels like very cheap plastic. It also uses folding plastic instead of a real hinge which screams cheapness. While this will probably not fail during ownership, eventually this will break due to fatigue and probably has a lifespan less than a quarter of even a very basic rotating hinge. It is also noteable that it only comes with one charging cable and this is a dedicated cable, not USB compatible. It would have been nice to see a USB charge cable present with the travel case, or the travel case to be USB compatible at least, which it is not.Despite the small negatives, this is by far the best brush I've ever used and I am very pleased I took the plunge on the purchase!

Worth it
I did get this at ~1/3 to 1/4 the rrpAt the rate I paid it’s well worth it.The charging puck showing the time plus what areas still need a bit more attention is far better than using my phone and a feature I use every day.The case is a bit pointless though, the pouch some of the newer brushes are coming with is far more useful. I had thought the case had a rechargeable battery in it but it does not, it must be plugged in to charge.Oral-b can save some money and drop the price by replacing the case with the pouch. If you don’t want the fancy puck then the io6 is likely a better buy, if you want the magnetic charger then the io8, if you want the 16 zone brushing detail then the io9.Io10 has the lot.

Much better than my last oral-b
Short: It is a good toothbrush with a base that doubles as a bathroom clock. Pricey, but it is often on sale.Long: I wanted to treat myself and I've managed to find a unit of io10 for 287£. It replaced an old, regular, spiny-head oral-b, and I must say I did not expect it to be this much better at cleaning. These new io magnetic-whatnot heads buzz much faster than the old ones, i can feel my entire skull vibrating when im using them, and boy do my teeth feel cleaner! It could be subjective, but I think im gonna be sticking with these newer toothbrushes from here on (like this or the philips sonicare). It is wicked expensive though, and the replacement heads cost a pretty penny as well, but I've rationalised it as a guilty pleasure of some sort. Also, love the occasional chuckle, when it reminds me of that certain character from Mass Effect and her special toothbrush.

Noticeable upgrade
Bought this to replace a perfectly working electric toothbrush that I felt wasn’t doing the job of cleaning my teeth. This brush is amazing, I particularly like the map of where I’m brushing to help with better brushing technique. The deep clean head I’m currently using is quite big but it’s doing the job. I’m finding I have sore gums, but putting this down to the fact I’ve not really done a good job of brushing my teeth for so long. Worth the money over any other brush I’ve had. Thankfully didn’t pay £500+ for this.

Will this reduce the dentist visit and cost?
The Oral-B iO 10 toothbrush offers an impressive combination of technology and performance. Its sleek design and interactive color display make brushing more engaging. The oscillating-rotating movement ensures thorough cleaning, while the pressure sensor helps prevent overbrushing. The smart connectivity features, like personalized brushing modes, elevate the overall experience. Although it comes with a higher price tag, the Oral-B iO 10 justifies the investment with its advanced features and effective oral care.
