My favorite filament brand so far!
I recently purchased this matte marble PLA filament, and I must say, it has exceeded my expectations in several ways. Firstly, the cardboard roll it comes on is a small, yet noteworthy detail. It's not only environmentally friendlier than plastic, but it also seems to contribute to the filament's overall stability during printing, preventing tangles and ensuring a smoother feed into the printer. The print quality this filament delivers is nothing short of impressive. The matte marble effect it creates gives a sophisticated and high-end finish to printed objects, distinguishing them from the usual glossy appearance of standard filaments. This unique texture is perfect for decorative pieces, prototypes, and even functional objects that benefit from a touch of elegance. The effect is subtle yet distinctive, adding depth and character to the prints.Another aspect I greatly appreciate is the strength of the filament. Often, aesthetics come at the cost of durability, but that’s not the case here. The prints are robust and hold up well under stress, which is a testament to the quality of the filament. It's versatile enough to be used for a variety of projects, from intricate models to parts that require a bit more resilience. The consistency in color is another area where this filament shines. The colors are not only accurate but also repeatable, which is crucial for projects requiring uniformity across multiple prints. Whether I'm working on a single piece or a series of components, the color remains consistent from one print to the next, ensuring a professional look for the finished product. In summary, this matte marble PLA filament is a fantastic choice for anyone looking to elevate their 3D printing projects. Its unique finish, combined with its strength and color consistency, makes it a versatile and reliable option for a wide range of applications. I didn't find anything to dislike about it, which is rare and speaks volumes about its quality. For anyone on the fence about trying it, I'd definitely recommend giving it a shot – it might just become your new favorite filament.

Easy to print, nice-looking matte finish
I originally purchased this because it's supposed to be a close match to Milwaukee Tool red. I wanted to make some accessories for my garage to organize my bits and pieces, and so far it definitely appears it's a nice match for the matte red color that Milwaukee uses on its tools. And, at $20/kg, it doesn't break the bank compared to some premium or specialty filaments out there.Aside from liking the red color and matte finish, I had excellent experiences with this filament:• Printed with a 0.5mm hardened steel nozzle, I used nozzle at 220°C, bed at 50°C• If adhesion is an issue, which I ran into when printing lines only 2 walls thick with no infill or other connections, I did need a light film of purple glue stick. That stuck down very well.• Stringing was nearly nonexistent for me. I had a tiny bit of light fuzz where retractions and travel moves happened, but that was it. I can easily burn that off with a quick touch of a torch.• Cardboard spool is a great touch to cut down on plastic trash in landfills.• Polymaker also supplies technical info on testing and composting for their PLA filament.I haven't tested for dimensional accuracy, but that's not a major concern for my use cases. There's probably enough tolerance in my printer's movements and belts that I wouldn't notice a huge difference anyway. The matte finish is excellent. It has just a small amount of sheen, but definitely isn't glossy except for the bottom layer on a smooth PEI bed.Overall, I'm very happy with this filament. It is excellent value for the price, and I've already ordered more to continue organizing my garage workspace.

Exceeded expectations
Polymaker Matte PLA has exceeded my expectations for 3D printing filament. The matte finish on prints adds a professional touch, and the material itself is easy to work with. It adheres well to the build plate, reducing the chances of print failures. Whether it’s intricate designs or functional parts, this filament consistently delivers exceptional results. A top-notch choice for anyone seeking quality and a sleek matte finish in their prints.

Great Filament with a soft stone feel to it
Great looking filament that has a bit of a chalky stone feel to it. Do print with at least a .6 nozzle. .4 tended to clog a lot. I was successful in getting several pieces out with the .4 nozzle, but after a couple failures late in the print I decided I would go with the .6 and it never had a problem. Used to print out a large medieval looking sarcophagus. Teh photo is of one of six prints that make up the entire piece.

Poor quality
Update. I must have gotten a bad batch. Polymaker reached out and made things right.I unfortunately stocked up on Polymaker during a prime sale.I have an eibos dryer and have not been able to save this. I don’t think it’s wet, it’s just poor quality. The matte filament prints are weak. The matte red is continually inconsistent in quality, see pics compared to a regular cheapo red from another brand. I have previously purchased eryone matte filament from Amazon and had excellent results.Simple geometry items like a box or cylinder show off the poor quality. I’ve never had walls look so bad.Polymaker has a great color selection but the matte filament is junk. The navy blue is extremely weak. You can deform printed models with ease. It also gums up and leaves scorched globs on the print. The cloud white gave me tolerance issues when I had a “successful print.”Pic attached of the blue. This was one of the better prints. I’m not sure what it is, but side walls are generally bad and top layers have issues too. The actual strength is one of the poorest from any filament I’ve used.Polymaker seems great, but it’s not worth it.

Ottimo filamento
