I bought this for a friend's Christmas present. They have used it a couple of times, and relayed to me that they found the station solid, stable and easy to use once you figure out how to set the station up. The soldering iron has its own dedicated keep, so you can rest it while doing other things. The heat/temp is spot on for all sorts of metals, and works well. The magnifier is useful when dealing with small components. A good starter kit for the beginner, and a good kit for more experienced users who have dabbled with individual hand-held soldering irons without a station.

Does everything it should , easy enough to use , you can adjust the temperature using the dial, the cord for some jobs I've done has been a bit short.It has a quality feel to it, and is certainly ok for the price paid

This soldering iron is nicely made, and is suitable for precision work on circuit boards and electronic components. The helping hands are also useful, although they tend to work loose over time and need to be retightened to the base board.I've found that for general PCB soldering work, I need to turn the heat setting almost to maximum, otherwise the solder does not stay fully melted. I don't have any tools to test the output, but I don't believe it's as hot as the dial claims.

I've owned several basic soldering irons over the years for occasional use. I bought this soldering station because I seem to be soldering more, including small components. It works amazingly well, much better than the others. Quick to heat up, easy to use. Variable temperature control is excellent. The little clamps are really useful. The magnifier sometimes comes in handy. Two criticisms - not sure why the base needs to be so bulky, and the soldering iron holder sits loosely on top though it would be better if it clipped in. I'll still give it 5 stars because these are minor points compared to the positives. It is a joy to use.

I bought this to sort the electronics out on some of my guitars. It works a treat. Buy,you won’t be disappointed.

I followed instructions heat up to 200 after few seconds turned up to 400. I needed this to replace some pots on an amp circuit board. I was able to unsolder original pots and replace all 8 with no problem at all. I should add I am not a techy just a diyer who will have a go at most jobs. If I had one tiny criticism that would be the cable between the unit and the soldering iron could have been a bit longer but it wasn’t much of an issue. Overall the unit heats the iron really fast. All the bits I needed were there in the box and more than I needed for this job.

A good soldering station which works well.Quick heat up time with a good temperature range.I would have given it five stars but unfortunately one of the croc clips well apart on install.
