For the price you pay for a Moccamaster, it ought to include this carafe!Better glass, feels substantial, perfect fit and doesn't spill coffee. The spout on this carafe is perfect for pouring coffee, unlike the Moccamaster which had me and visitors constantly spilling coffee (SLOWLY and methodically going at great measures to be careful).Don't get me wrong, I love my Moccamaster. Best drip, no frills, coffee maker that is consistent in temp and quality. 4 years and going strong. The carafe that comes with the Moccamaster doesn't seem to match the quality of the rest of the device.If you are placing an order for a Moccamaster, order this carafe and keep the one that comes with the Moccamaster as a backup.

The old carafe broke at the handle, which is flimsy. You can see the broken piece of you look closely. This one doesn’t dribble if you pour quickly, has a much stronger handle and had a protective metal ring. Overall superior to the original.

The original carafe handle was thinner and broke. Purchased this replacement and it fits and the black handle is a thicker material. It is working great. The original should be warrantied but it isn't warrantied for defects. Too bad for Mocamaster, because we love the coffee maker but the carafe was flawed and the Mocamaster replacement would be the same thin plastic handle.

Perfect for my Moccamaster. Perfect fit. Cheaper, better made, and somehow with greater capacity than the original.

The carafe is an adequate replacement for the original MoccaMaster carafe. It's not a perfect match, but it does work just fine. The handle is also on the small side...maybe too small for some mens' hands, but fine for ladys'. It's a nice quality item overall.

I am very disappointed with this product. The thing that broke on my original pot is just as weak and fragile on this pot. That thing is the two flat pieces that stick up from the handle where you attach the lid. You have to take the lid off every day to clean the pot. Those two pieces take a lot of wear, and they are thumb pressure points. They should be much stronger. One side cracked and broke on the original pot, and this pot will do the same. Not only that, the lid does not fit properly and securely into the slots. It can fall off while pouring coffee if you don't hold on to it. The lid appears to be made of different and softer kind of plastic that makes it not as sturdy. It also came with two plastic "things" that appear like they are supposed to clip onto something. There is nothing that tells me what they are for. I am going to return this.
