Fred AstaireSilk Stockings - Fred Astaire & Cyd Charisse [DVD] [1957]

Wow, talk about customer service. This arrived in excellent condition with a personalised letter from the seller and a lovely postcard of his hometown. It even had a ribbon around it. I'm looking forward to watching this tonight. I love Fred Astaire movies and with Cyd Charisse as his dance partner again, I know it will be a winner. Hey, it even has Peter Lorre to liven up the story!

Although the score is Cole Porter I didn't recognize any of the tunes. Fred and Cyd make all the complicated dance routines look so effortless. I really enjoyed this film. Although the Russian characters are a bit stereotype. This film was to replace my old video copy so it's good that there were subtitles this time. Extra effort recognized and good work to the seller!

Compared to bandwagon this DVD is a bit soppy, but that is purely our opinion (my wife and mine)

Don't ask just buy.

Not one of Astaire's best films or one of Cole Porter's best scores but the dancing is good and Cyd Charisse as attractive as ever. It's almost impossible to get on DVD so I was grateful to find someone selling a VHS copy.

Got this film as a present for my sister. It's a great film and the service was excellent (including a small souvenir) - Thank you!
