It is GREAT - the customer service was even better!
I actually loved this product out of the box. I used it for Kodi, Hulu, Amazon Prime Video, Youtube Red and Spectrum Internet TV. It worked GREAT right out of the box. Easy to setup. Wireless works very well with all of my streaming services. I like the LED on the front that displays the time...so I'd know when my binge'ing was excessive and it was time to go to bed...cuz I have a job and bills. It also indicates LAN or WIFI connectivity. There is a power button on the front which is missing on most Android TV boxes in this class. It has an SPDIF for the serious audiophiles. I have mine connected with HDMI to a projector and it sounds great. It picks up all of the Dolby audio from my various sources without loss of fidelity. It also has good old "AV" port (red/yellow/white) if that's your preference, but I can't imagine using that on this cool little box. It would be like running a Porsche with all spare rubber tires. You would need a 3.5 mm-to-RCA adapter if you wanted to use an older TV or projector. It has 2 USB ports perfect for connecting wireless remotes, keyboards and even mice. There is a micro-SD port which I tested with a few standard mp4/mpg video files and they worked perfectly. It was fast and responsive. The price was even great. It comes with a MUCH better keyboard style remote than the other devices in this class. It does also include the simple TV remote style as well, so if you prefer that...there you go.I did have some issues with the unit after a couple of months of use and gave feedback to GooBang. Their response was FAST and courteous. "Penny" emailed me and apologized for the inconvenience. They very quickly replaced the unit and even paid for the shipping. That is amazing customer service. Im a raving fan of the device and the customer service.HIGHLY RECOMMEND.JM

Great fast android box.
I really enjoy the box its faster than my old one and responsive. I loaded all my apps excluding netflix because it said it wasnt compatible. For anyone with this problem go to your browser go to the official netflix page and download the apk.My main gripe which is a big one because its the reason i purchased this one was for the wireless keyoard remote the mouse tracking was teally good but the range isnt that good. My tv and box ia roughly 6 feet away from the couch where i sit. Sometimes i would have to lean forward because the connection would be iffy. That wasnt so much a problem as the actual keyboard keys are useless. It constantly double presses letters on a single push or it will skip letters i tried slowing down my button pushing to a really slow pace and it still would double press or miss letters. I also tested this standomg right next to the box pointing the controller at the rf adapter and got the same results. I also removed all wireless devices from the room to see if it was i interfering and that wasnt the case either. I got so frustrated with it i just started usung the inscreen keyboard and the included remote.I will most likely end up purchasing another wireless keyboard remote off amazon******update******Almost immediately after losting my initial review i was contacted by customer service and they immediately shipped me out a new keyboard the new backlight version and it works perfect im very satisfied and impressed with customer service.

Not happy with the performance of this box using Kodi or Stremio
I figured I needed a new tv box since my old Gbox MX2 bit the dust after many years of service (been running with LibreElec for a few years and it worked wonderfully, at least for my needs) and my old amazon firestick was way too laggy, couldn't run Stremio smoothly. After searching I decided to buy the XB-III after reading all the reviews in here and also watching all the video reviews on you tube. My needs are fairly basic, all I use is Kodi and Stremio, don't need any 4k video support and I run my boxes via Wifi.By the way, since there is a discount on the Firestick I ordered one, I figured I would test it and then pass it to my daugher.Anyway, after receiving the XB-III I installed it on my TV and configured the wifi settings, the initial installation and setup is fairly easy. Once I had wifi I proceeded to setup my Google Play account, everything went perfectly and was able to setup everything fairly quickly.Once I had everything set with google play I downloaded Kodi 17.6 and the latest version of Stremio....so far so good. I proceeded to setup Kodi along with my favorite addons. Here is where I began to notice some things, while in the process of installing all my addons it seems as if Kodi would freeze since it would take so long to receive the message confirmation that the addon had been installed, sometimes I would leave one addon installing while I began to install another addon. Halfway through the installation of the new addon I would receive the message confirmation that the first addon had been installed. After installing all my addons I did find that anytime I tried to do a configuration change in Kody or any modifications on one of the addons I had installed, Kodi would take wayyyy too long and as I mentioned before it seemed that the app would freeze because it took so long.Regarding playback, I was surprised that I did not have any problems in this regard but the sluggish response I'm getting while using Kodi , well lets just say that it's not what I was expecting. Now with Stremio, actually the performance here is worst than in Kody, it's so bad that I have not been able to watch a complete episode of any of my series. Now please don't get me wrong, the box boots up fast, the performance when opening apps is also fast, the problem seems to be when using Kodi and Stremio...but then again, that's what I bought this box for.As a last option, I decided to check if there where any updates to the firmware via the OTA updater, but when I checked to see if there where any updates, I received and error "CHECK FAILED! CHECK YOUR OTA SERVER ARGENT"; tried a few times more and kept getting the same results. My next step was to go into the Goobang doo website to see if I could find anything that would help me to get this box sorted , but nothing was found..I did find, on the FAQ section, information regarding the error I was getting when I tried the OTA updater, it simply said that the OTA updater is not opened on these boxes and to contact customer service regarding firmware updates, but they don't suggest doing any updates if the box is working correctly.Oh by the way, before someone says to connect my box with a lan cable instead of the wifi, i'm currently getting 15 and 17mbps on wifi so that is more than enough for SD and 720 video streaming, so no..it's not my internet speed. In regards to the remote and the keyboard, they work ok..specially the keyboard, makes things a little bit easier but I would suggest getting a bluetooth remote or keyboard for better performance..in my case I will use what came with the box since I doubt that I will use this box to run stremio or Kodi, I have watched a few movies after downloading them on my pc and copying them on a memory stick and connecting the stick to the box..that has worked perfectly so far. Before closing I wanted to add that a few days later I received my Amazon Firestick and after setting it up I was impressed at how much faster it is than my old firestick, I proceeded to install Stremio and let me tell you, the difference is night and day...the Firestick runs Stremio so much more smoothly and so much better than the XB-III that it's incredible, in the next few days I will install Kodi to see how it works but I imagine that the performance has to be better than with this box.Actually after installing the Firestick I think I have only used the XB-III once, so impressed with the Firestick that I'm seriously thinking of ordering the Fire Tv.Actually, I also find that the wifi performance on the Firestick is much better than on this box.In the meantime I will try to contact Goobang to see if they can help me solve my problems but as things stand right now, I will only use this box to connect my USB drive or my SD cards to watch my movies, too much frustration using Kodi or Stremio.I will update this review as soon as I have tried all my options at trying to solve the issues I mentioned before, but for now..can't give this box more than 2 stars.Update 03-27-2008I actually wrote this update during the weekend but it was not approved since I posted a link from Goobang on the updated procedure of how to install Kodi, so here is the update once again (without the link of course).Shortly after my original review I was contacted by Goobang customer service to try to solve my problems with the box and they gave me some options on how to proceed and also they sent a link with the updated procedure on how to install Kodi in this box. After reading their email I proceeded to uninstall both Kodi and Stremio from the box and my first step was to re-install kodi following the video instructions on the link they sent. The instructions where not the best in the world since the video text is in Chinese but the procedures where very easy to follow. After installing Kodi again I crossed my fingers when it was time to install my favorite addons and this time around there was no lagging and the addons where installed without any issues at all. After I finished installing my addons I tested Kodi to see if there where any lag or if it hanged up like my previews installation, glad to say that everything worked very very well and Kodi is running perfectly. Pleas remember that when I originally installed Kodi, I downloaded the app from Google Play, this time around I installed it by following the steps sent my Goobang do.As an additional note, when I tried to install Kodi by clicking the Help option on the main menu of my box I was not able to download it, it seems the link for downloading Kodi was not working. Now on to Stremio, when I searched google play I found 2 options, one was the normal Stremio App and another version that said Beta; the first time I downloaded the normal version of Stremio, this time around I downloaded the BETA version of Stremio and this seemed to do do the trick. Stremio is working perfectly now, no nasty lagging and everything is running smoothly as it should.I have updated my stars from 2 to 4 since everything is working great on the box, I actually used the box continuously during the weekend and did not have a single problem. This is a pretty good android box, the only thing keeping me from giving it 5 stars is that I wish the wi-fi was a bit better. By the way, the support from Goobang is excellent, they kept contacting me to see how things where coming along and also to check if I needed further help.On a side note, some people complain that when they pressed the off button on the remote the box does not shut down it just goes to sleep; if you go into settings there is an option to setup what the box does when you press the off button, I think the option is called power or something similar. If you set this option to shut down then when you press the off button on the remote the box will completely power off.
