Broyhill Maddie Chair

We bought the Maddie sofa at Thanksgiving one year ago. The sofa had a strong chemical smell when it was delivered and several people in our family became ill after it was placed in the house. I liked the color of the sofa a lot so we stored it on a covered porch to air out. It was brought back in at Christmas, it still made us sick so out it went. Same thing at Easter and 4th of July. Do not buy this sofa if you have any allergies. I do not know what chemicals they used but it is toxic. I thought it would be safe having a USA label and soy based cushions. Most toxic item I have ever bought.

Very comfortable chair. Very happy with the looks of these very soft microfiber corduroy chairs. They are solidly constructed and the cushions are springs which add to the comfort of these chairs (and sofa) immensely. We had no problems with smells for any of our Broyhill Maddie items and we ended up with a sofa, two chairs and two ottomans. Although ordering online was not a pleasing experience, I am only twitting the review on the furniture and not the delivery experience. The fabric is more casual than I would normally go for, but it is not messy looking Ng as some microfiber materials can be and it is so comfortable that I don't care! We found this set after looking for replacement furniture (literally) for years at a local store and fell in love with the comfort. The reason we have not found any furniture previously was because they were so uncomfortable and very expensive. We found this much cheapened here on Amazon so we purchased online. As stated the experience was difficult so if you need all pieces within a reasonable amount of time I suggest buying local.
