So, I didn't pay close attention to what type of chips I was ordering and wine making chips showed up. Oops! No smoker, no wine drinkers, what to do?Smoke Whiskey was the general consensus around here, so that's what we thought we would do.We soaked the oak chips in whiskey for about 5 weeks. We thought that would be average. Then we waited for the weekend -right. You know we tried it right away. We decided to taste it pure, no water, no pop, not even ice. Just the whiskey. I thought there was a different taste to it, but it was faint. I think that if you were looking for it, you would taste it, but I don't know that I would notice the spiciness of it.But, good or bad, we got to taste smoked whiskey, how bad of an afternoon did we have?
