Power Saver 1200 Black Label

We set up an off-grid solar power plant with an 8k watt inverter. Tried to run a regular sized High Efficiency washing machine (front load). The tumbler wouldn't spin. We shut everything else off and tried again but that wasn't enough to get the washing machine to work. Granted, the max the washing machine would require to run is about 900w, and the startup surge power is well within the limit for our inverter capacity. I found a reference to this device in an old online forum that someone else had solved their washing machine problem, while using off-grid solar, with this device. Decided to give it a try. Worked like a charm. I don't know how it works, or why it works, but it does. The manufacturer's technical support spent 45 minutes on the phone with me giving a mini class on the operational principles of their technology. Cool stuff to get nerdy with. They're very excited about their product and are extremely helpful. To install it, all you need to do is connect it to a double pole breaker in the same panel-box as the appliance. It doesn't connect to directly to any appliance.Essentially is acts as a soft-start device, but isn't exactly a soft start. Although, it is much less costly than a soft-start or VFD. This would likely be helpful for well-pumps that run off solar inverters - no more need for soft-start VFD's.

Device will lower motor temperatures and reduce amps but unfortunately you are billed in watts not amps so it has only a very small reduction in power bill, hardly worth the cost of device and installation.

I bought the Power Saver 1200 several years back while trying to find a way to save on our electric bill.The more appliances with electric motors that aren't "Energy Saver" certified the better it will work.There have been days that no one was even home all day and the next day with the outside temperature the same,we used 10 KW of electricity less!It never cease to amaze me.The more you wash and dry clothes and run ceiling fans and anything with an electric motor the less electricity you use.I sometimes forget that when no one is home that you will use more electricity.I check my electric meter every day,so I know for a fact that this works.
