Very pleased with my purchase
I spent weeks researching carry-ons before making a purchase. While I wanted all the bells and whistles and chic style, I was also on a budget and needed one that meets international carrier requirements. I couldn't justify spending $250 on a tiny carry-on. There are plenty of companies out there selling slightly larger cases that will tell you you'll have no issues carrying it on, but I can't take that chance. For our first trip to the UK, we're only taking carry-ons and backpacks for an eleven-night stay in multiple cities. I can't risk my carry-on getting lost if forced to check it because it's too big. I almost bought an Amazon Basic carry-on, but I was really put off by the big label on the front announcing to the world that I bought a cheap case. So I finally settled on two of these 20-inch carry-ons from TravelCross. When it first arrived, my heart sank. Don't get me wrong--it looks sleek, it has reinforced corners, the zippers are solid, the wheels turn smoothly, and it has a combination lock. It also has the "sandwich" design with two separate compartments that I wanted. Plus it's incredibly light. But it's so small! How was I going to pack for eleven nights using just this and a backpack? Well, with a little judicious planning and some packing cubes, I did it!In the side separated by a zippered pocket, I was able to fit a rugged pair of ankle boots, and in a packing cube I fit seven pairs of underwear, seven pairs of socks, two spanx, two padded underwire bras, and a belt. In the other compartment, using a large packing cube, I was able to fit two pairs of jeans, five short- and long-sleeved tops, one medium-weight sweatshirt, one heavy sweater, one light cardigan, one pair of leggings, one tank top, and one pair of pajama pants. Everything else I need, including toiletries, makeup, electronics, travel accessories, and more clothes and underwear, fit in my SwissGear travel backpack. I was actually amazed and rather proud of myself! Now my husband's suitcase can't fit quite so much since men's clothes are so much bigger and bulkier. In the zippered side of his case I was able to fit one pair of tennis shoes, a baseball cap, and a packing cube with seven pairs of boxers and ten pairs of socks. In the other compartment, using a large packing cube, I fit two mid-weight sweaters, four short- and long-sleeved shirts, one pair of jeans, one pair of khakis, and one pair of pajama pants. Everything else he needs goes in his backpack. Now we haven't used the cases outside of the house yet, and I will update my review after we've traveled to report how well they held up, but I do want to say that so far Villa Bag's customer service has been excellent. One of our cases arrived without a combination lock. I messaged them through Amazon, and the same day they sent me a prepaid Fedex label to send the case back. I scheduled a Fedex pickup, and as soon as the label was scanned in, I received an email from Villa Bags telling me they had shipped my new case, and it did arrive with the combination lock. So far I'm really happy with my purchase all around.

Compact, looks nice.
Seems fine, just looks very small and with no additional outside pockets etc. i will know more when we get back from 12 days in California with no additional side trips. I will supplement lack of capacity with underseat bag which might make the suitcase unstable if perched on top- it would be nice to have an underseat bag designed to work with this suitcase, but no more time to shop and I will use the one I have and see how it goes. I bought this suitcase to replace a slightly bigger one which I prefer but I was worried about being oversized.

Pretty good luggage for the price
TravelCross Chicago 20" Carry On LuggageIt arrived today, just in time for a 3 day trip to snowy Chicago. This is my first carry on sized piece of luggage, and I wasn't prepared for how small it'd be. However, I was able to fit three pairs of pants, one pair of winter boots and one pair of dress shoes, five pairs of socks, four pairs of underwear, a heavy button down shirt, a heavy sweater, three undershirts, a button down dress shirt and a tie within this bag. (Pants: men's size 36, Shirts/sweater: men's size large, Shoes: men's 10 1/2 & 11)Here are my pros & cons with this bag after just one evening with it.Pros➕ Fairly sturdy case construction with a little bit of flex.➕ The zipper seems fairly sturdy, much better than most cheaper luggage.➕ Large zipped inside pocket which is about half the bag to keep items separated if needed.➕ The combination zipper lock and secondary luggage lock loop work for double protection. Combination was easy to set with provided instructions.➕ The wheels are sturdy and the retractable handle seems so as well.Cons➖ The zipper lock however useful, is hard to operate with a very full bag. I was able to get the zippers into the lock, but it was a small struggle to having to line the two zippers up perfectly to the two lock slots they fit into.➖ When packing very full, I noticed that the retractable handle is tougher to retract and put back due to the mechanism being enclosed in the inside of the suitcase/contents being squeezed against it.➡ Both of the "cons" were based on me filling this luggage to the brim, and not a defect. Zippers and locking mechanism are both easy to operate when the bag was empty and just partially full.I was not paid or given any products for this review. This review will be updated after my trip.

This little monster is a terrific value
I bought this case because I was planning a fast (7 days) trip through Europe involving multiple small trips (9 airlines and 9 airports) and I didn't want to check baggage. I wanted a hard-side spinner that was light and not expensive. I got all of that in this case. It traveled hard and fast over escalators, uneven airplane ramps, cobbled streets, stairs, and asphalt. It fit tightly packed contents that strained the zippers. It acted as a footrest in a few of the airports. And it fit in every single overhead compartment on the budget international flights. Twice stewardesses looked at it and called it small and let me forward while others were having to gate check their "small" carry ons. It is light enough that, even with a weeks worth of clothes, it was easy for me to grab and carry when needed. I did not "baby" the case and indeed it started to feel a little loose in the handle, and the wheels became a little less smooth, by the end of a very hard 7 days, but it never failed me. And it still looks good. Like I said, for the price, this little monster was a terrific value. Update, I've now used the case for a 3 week trip to Italy where there was not a smooth flat walkway in sight. It help up and is still looking good.
