Unable to simultaneously view my Vizio HD TV (using adapter) with two HMDI connected PC monitors on a Windows 8 Dell desktop
I have a Dell OptiPlex 9020 Mini Tower and replaced the stock video card with a VisionTek Radeon HD 7750 Dual HDMI 1GBX16 PCIe: VisionTek Products AMD Radeon 7750 Dual HDMI 1 GB DDR3 PCI Express Graphics Card 900574 .My Vizio HDTV (M3D460SR) is connected via HMDI (into the TV) and the other end of the HMDI cable has a Display Port adapter and is connected to the video card's Display Port socket. My two monitors (Viewsonic VP2770 series) and HP (w2207) are connected to each of the HMDI ports on this video card. When I access the Control Panel >> Display >> Change Display Settings, the Vizio TV is assigned the third position and the HMDI directly connected monitors are assigned positions one and two.I'm able to extend the desktop to both monitors, but unable to further extend it to the third positioned Vizio TV. A pop-up message appears with a statement that the 3rd positioned TV can not be extended. When the pop-up message is closed, users are given an option to extend the desktop using optional configurations (e.g., 1 and 2, 1 and 3 etc.).When I view the AMD Catalyst Control Center >> Detect Displays, the two monitors are identified (1 and 2), but the TV only shows a TV icon and model number, but was not assigned a position number (e.g., 3). There is also a green check mark in the window, stating that the detection is complete.I'm unsure if there is something I'm doing wrong, a setting needs changing or the TV is too old. I can receive a signal on the TV (connected to the Display Port slot) only if I use ONE of the monitors (connected in either HMDI slot). I thought I would be able to simultaneous use all three.:-(I'll contact Dell to see if they have a solution.______________Update 07/29/14: I opted to contact the manufacturer of the video board, VisionTek instead. Their reply below:You will need to use an active adapter on the Mini-Display port to achieve the third display (TV). Here is the link for this adapter: VisionTek Active Mini DisplayPort to HDMI Adapter Cable for Mac and PC (900636) If your TV support 4K resolution, you can purchase our 4K adapter: VisionTek Products Mini DisplayPort to 4K HDMI Active Adapter Cable (900691) I will buy the VisionTek adapter and try to return the MXNO adpater.

Great size, but be weary.
This was the first converter that I purchased for thunderbolt to HDMI, and I had to buy another one because this one stopped working. I loved the size and convenience of it though. It was so little, I would just throw it into my backpack with my flash drive. But in just a couple months, this adapter stopped working, and I was convinced it was just my laptop until it stopped working for my roommate too. I took care of it pretty well considering I always put the lid back on and put it back in the box. But, I guess that wasn't enough because it soon died. I wish I could have used this buddy for longer, but I guess that's what happens when you purchase the cheapest adapter possible.

Adapter does not stay plugged in very well, but ...
Adapter does not stay plugged in very well, but works well if you do not touch the HDMI cable. Worth the price.

Essential item with one design flaw
So to hook an HDMI cable up to a Mac laptop, you have to have one of these. I gave mine to my mom when she got her new TV, so when I saw I could purchase another one at a reasonable price for writing a review, of course I did.I have not used it extensively because it is rare that I actually need to hook my laptop to a TV, so I cannot yet speak to longevity of the device. The only drawback I see to the design is that on a double USB Mac circa 2012, the device covers half of one of the USB ports, so only one is available. Thus the four stars. My previous connector like this from a different company had a bit of cable between the plug and the body so it did not block the USB port.Pros: Small, easy to throw in the laptop bag for when you need it, inexpensive, and absolutely essential if you want to mirror your Mac screen.Cons: Blocks one USB port so you can only use one.

I hate HDMI.
It broke on the first day. The mini displayport plug can visibly bend now. So I took it apart and noticed that the cable broke at the solder joints. They're absurdly tiny connections not worth fixing, so I put it back together and applied force onto the end of the mini displayport plug and shot the entire assembly across the room. A recommended improvement would be to fill the entire adapter with hot glue to encase the PCB and prevent movement inside of it. That should protect the terrible joint.I hate HDMI.

Five Stars
Works great for HDMI screening from Macs. Audio too.
