I've only used this with mineral powder and translucent veil as an experiment, and it works surprisingly well if pat it on your face first so that the silicone has a bit of oil to grab the powders. However, it's a bit difficult to use it for spreading the powder so it might be better with creams. It's very easy to clean and store, and the strap makes it so much more user friendly than the silisponge.
