Great wordmanship. Best author to paint characters around history. Especially 1800’s.

This novel describes the adventures of one who didn’t possess clear ambitions but nevertheless was successful in many endeavors. He had a series of girlfriends and earned a considerable amount of money dealing in items that he would sell at considerable profit. The club without adequate parking strongly opposed selling items to his family members! This was not as good of a read as the author previously produced.
