bathroom mixer tap
We bought this simple mixer tap to replace a faulty thermostatic model. The tap is good, well made and does the job. Unfortunately, it developed a leak just under the lever and Amazon decided to replace the tap and the new tap is doing fine. We tried to return the faulty tap but because of complications with customs declaration after Brexit this was not possible and Amazon agreed that we didn't need to return the tap. Amazon's service over this tap has been excellent.

A good-looking tap undermined by poor engineering.
The media could not be loaded. Initially, I was very impressed with this tap; it feels sturdy and looks great. However, I saw many comments about leaks and, being familiar with plumbing, I decided to take a closer look. I found several issues:The Deck Mounted Legs: The threaded part is shorter than the nut used to secure it. When you tighten the nut by hand, it hits the end of the thread with a grinding feel before the thick rubber washer is fully compressed. This washer is unusually thick, likely an attempt by the manufacturer to compensate for the short thread, but it makes getting a secure, watertight seal very difficult.A Hidden Loosening Point: The most critical flaw is the cap nut fitting that connects to the tap body. This fitting has a reverse thread from the other end. As you tighten the main securing nut to the deck legs, it imperceptibly unscrews this fitting from the tap's body. I believe this is the primary reason so many people experience leaks, as it's not an obvious fault.Non-Standard Tools Required: To tighten this fitting into the tap body, you need a specific hex key. The problem is that it's a non-standard size. I have a 50-piece set for all sorts of work, and not one of them fit. I had to resort to using pliers, which is not ideal and can damage the fitting.Even after doing my best to tighten everything, the whole assembly felt wobbly. This tap is not suitable for a busy household where it might be handled roughly. It's a shame because it looks the part, but the underlying design is flawed and prone to leaking.

Looked good when fitted and much less obtrusive than previous fancy Victorian thing with hand shower attachment. However started leaking from the cartridge within two weeks ..hence 3 stars due to reliability issues.

Nice mixer tap, works as expected.
Nice mixer tap, works as expected. When assembling, use a little jointing compound or plumber's tape to avoid leaks. Much better mixing that the tap it replaced. Only criticism, the aerator makes it a little noise, but I'm sure that could be removed if required.
