Gives off good heat, useful to prevent damp
I have had this heater for a couple of months, and I really like it. It gives off a good heat, which penetrates walls and objects and allows them to continue to radiate heat after this is turned off. In this way, the manufacturers say it helps prevent damp, which is one of the reasons I got it. I moved into a small flat in an old house, with no way to dry my laundry other than hang it in the flat, so when I started to see black mould I was understandably concerned.I have taken a multi-pronged approach to tackling my damp- washing it down with bleach, trying to have ventilation when I dry my laundry, leaving the central heating on low all the time, and then putting this on when I need extra heat. So this is not the only reason the damp has improved, but I have been able to nip it in the bud.It is not the most glamorous item, but for the price it's not bad and I like that you can hang it on the wall, saving space (although you need a good clear section of wall, and not to have anything too nearby in front of it, or the heat will be blocked). And when summer comes, it can be put away in a small space. In terms of the design, the mosaic one was really the only option for me, as it has more of a modern look. I find the giant pictures of a kitten etc to be really tacky and off putting. Also, as some other reviewers have pointed out, after you have used it for a while, the heat of the electric wiring which is threaded throughout creates dark lines down the picture. With the mosaic design, this is not very noticeable as it can be incorporated into the design. But if you have chosen something else, it would probably be quite unsightly.
