My wife loves it, and the sound quality is surprisingly good and loud.

My granddaughter who is 9 years old was a little bit intimidated by it at first. She kind of had to psych herself out to be able to hop up on there and go for a ride. My daughter's boyfriend rode it first to show her that it was safe-ish. For the first couple of weeks she had it, she just listened to music on the Bluetooth speaker. My granddaughter says "She likes the color and the grippy foot spots". She likes the idea of the blue tooth but hasnt used it while riding yet only indoors on its own. The nasty weather has hindered her riding time. She will get the hang of it. She just needs a little better weather.

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY. They are 100% a scam. They've had thousands of reports to the BBB. Their customer service is void to extremely slow. They just got back to me Feb 6th from when i reached out January 3rd and literally told me to just try steps that are in the manual. If you find yourself in the unfortunate position of buying their product and it breaks, return it ASAP.This hover board worked for 3 uses after my daughter opened it Christmas day. Had a mediocre battery, only lasting for maybe 20 minutes each use. Contacted customer support on the 3rd of January. So far customer service has been lacking, asked me for a video after I submitted a picture and description of exactly the problem. Literally the video is just me verbalizing what i wrote down so what's the point. Not sure if this is going to get remedied, maybe my review might change, but based off their customer service you should probably steer clear of buying from gotrax.Pros: noneCons: poor battery, poor quality, extremely poor customer service.

The MARS MAX Hoverboard by Gotrax, is an easy to balance, faster speeds (6.2 mph) with longer range (5 miles), that can accommodate both kids and adults. Here are some of the things I’ve learned while owning it and a few things to consider before buying.I. Quality – It has above average quality that feels and operates solidly, but it’s not the best I’ve seen. I’d put the overall quality in the upper-middle level of the quality scale and guess it should last a while, assuming the electronics survive.II. Performance – The MARS MAX is easier than most to balance on. It’s still going to have a learning curve if you’ve never ridden one, but it’s easier than others to balance on. The speed is good for a Hoverboard at a max of 6.2mph, but this is for lighter people like kids. The claimed distance of 5 miles is great, provided by a 93.6Wh battery, but I’m not able to achieve that with adult weight of 170 pounds. However, it still goes a fair distance and lasts as long as I want to ride. The charging time seems about average at 5 hours and the turning is responsive. The battery indicator is nice to have and easy to look down at.Overall, this is good all-around choice in the world of Hoverboards. It’s easy to balance, has good speed, distance, maneuverability and it provides good value. I’ll be sure to update this review, if I ever start to have problems with it.You can trust that this review is simply my honest opinion that is attempting to provide you with helpful insight that I wish I had before I picked this product. The media could not be loaded. The hoverboard just arrived today and I couldn't wait to give it a go. I've never used one before, however, I have tried One Wheels and the electric unicycle style units. This was, by far, the easiest to just hop on and feel like I wasn't a split second away from an ambulance ride. The first few seconds were super jagged movements and over a few minutes time, I was able to settle it down. It became easier and easier, quite quickly. Bets were being taken, which would I break first, a leg or the board? After about 20 minutes I was feeling pretty comfortable and the counterintuitive aspects started becoming intuitive.It's hard to imagine a better value. The price was $169.99 when I ordered it, which just feels like a heck of a bargain. It has the option to turn self balance off and another feature is that it has a Bluetooth speaker. The manual is well written. There's not a lot to it, however, the tips were helpful... just focus on pointing your toes. The charger is non standard, so don't lose it :).It doesn't have enough torque to make it over any significant bumps (like the transition strip to the carpeted living room, but it flies over smooth surfaces! If I run into any issues with it, I'll update the review.

This hoverboard is for my wife. I just got one and am getting pretty good at it so I want to get her on board. This one is a little slower than mine and says it doesn't go as far, but the price is right and it is sturdy enough for our use. It had good sensitivity too. We are older adults and are out to prove "You're never too old" to have fun. I like that we can easily take these with us to the park and other places.
