African Safari Field Guide

This is an excellent book to prepare for an African safari as a reference, as well as a resource to take with you on your trip. It surprises me how much info is packed in the book.

The media could not be loaded. Packed with activities for those looking for a cultural immersion. Food, games, language, art, animals, and culture. Definitely worth the buy for our vacation. Perfect for adults, teens, and tweens going in safari in Tanzania.

This little book is invaluable for a safari!!! I kept it handy every minute - constantly consulting it for the identification guides, journaling in it in the evenings and even on flights studying the different languages I will be encountering. Our guide was so impressed with it. I cannot say enough good about it. The only drawback is that, it is not super extensive. If you really want to identify every bird you see, you will need to buy an actual bird book. But if you’re just interested in the more common things you’ll encounter, this is perfect. Priced and sized just right!!

Used this guide throughout my trip to South African and Tanzania. Descriptions, artwork, and information wonderful. Also contains very useful maps. This guide is all about the animals/birds and not about recommending places to stay/eat.

Easy to read, and find animals in the book... wish there were more animals, but my safari companions were jealous of this

Nice to have, and read, before you set out on Safari....

The book was great for looking up animals and birds that we saw on Safari in Kenya and Tanzania. It has a spit to record what you saw too. It was very useful.

This book looks great, but not in black-and-white on a Kindle Paper-white.
