Phenomenal multi purpose tripod and hiking poles
The media could not be loaded. I am more of a hiker and adventurer than a photographer, but still enjoy the ability to have a tripod with me on hikes for group shots, individual shots or time lapse videos. This product solves a problem I didn't even know I had.All of the parts are lightweight, break down and assemble in a shockingly easy manner - but still remain rock solid for their purposes. This means solid hiking poles, a stable tripod that can be adjusted to any terrain, and it still easily fits inside of a pack. The design is just ingenious, I have had it set in place on the side of a cliff, with two legs nearly vertical and the third above horizontal - still rock solid stability for an extended time lapse of the sunset.Price wise it may seem a little steep, but I also have three high quality hiking poles in my pack now which makes it seem more reasonable.

Strangely impressive hiking poles with one major flaw
I'd call myself a pretty intermediate hiker. I don't just take walks in the park but I'm not regularly in Yosemite. I've hiked all over the Adirondacks with these poles and they've held up really nicely. I've put all my weight on them (200ish lbs) and they don't telescope in at all when I do. They feel sturdy and don't bend more than you want them to. It's just an extra perk to me that they go into a tripod. I carry the third one on my backpack and have a GoPro on the mini tripod attached to my pack. It is great for easy access to my camera and when I want to set it up into a long selfie stick or tripod, the quick-release system makes it a breeze. I wouldn't use this as a tripod for a larger camera, but for hiking and with a GoPro or 360 camera, it really is the perfect product. As far as stability and traction, it compares well to my professional grade Black Diamond hiking poles which is really impressive. The build quality is almost as good, not quite but still very impressive. They're a little bit heavier but it's worth it for the tripod capabilities. But the grip? the wrist straps are flimsy, uncomfortable backpack straps and the grips are cheap, thin foam that soaks up sweat. If these had quality rubber grips and a decent wrist strap, they'd be perfect. I might try to cut the foam and buy some rubber handles myself but after 6, 8, sometimes 12 hours of hiking, the grips are heavy and gross with sweat and they're so uncomfortable for my hands. Such a strange decision to cheapen an otherwise great product.

Solid Tripod
I really like this tripod. It's very light and very stable when propped up properly. The threading on the head screws into my camera and binoculars easily and holds them in place securely. As for the legs itself, they're very solid and very durable as well. They lock in place very solidly without any slippage when adding some of your weight to the stick while using them as hiking sticks. Well at least with three legs, you have three sticks. They easily attach and detach themselves from the main tripod unit. I'm still trying to figure out if this is real carbon fiber instead of a printed graphics over graphite composite. Overall, it's a bit pricey but worth for the functionality as well as the versatility.

Great idea, just not usable as poles
I was really excited for this - I have the quick release shoulder strap and wanted to use this system for a super quick monopod or tripod set up while hiking in the mountains. The concept works well, and it provides a lot of versatility in a really small package to have a small tripod, a monopod, and as a tripod. My favorite use is actually putting all 3 together as a really long monopod for DJI Osmo Pocket 3 for super high angle stuff easily. However, the poles are just not strong enough to hike with. If you're casually walking on a flat trail, they'll probably hold up ok. The second I tried to descend and actually put a little weight on one of the poles it snapped. It can be used as a lightweight, versatile system of monopods and tripods. I would just not call them usable hiking poles.

Useless as hiking sticks
I really wanted to like this Tripod/Hiking Stick combo as it could have been the perfect use case scenario for me. I am a photographer that does long hikes to reach hard-to-reach locations for landscape photos. This would have minimized my pack weight as I usually carry both a travel tripod and use hiking sticks. Unfortunately the hiking sticks use a non-standard rubber tip so they can't be easily replaced. The rubber tips it uses are very small and will wear out quickly after one long hike. I contacted Ulanzi to attempt to buy extra tips for the future but they were asking $8 a piece for a very small piece of rubber. Unfortunately this isn't worth it to buy these after each hike, so I will be returning this tripod. Hopefully they switch to standard replaceable tips in the future, or make their replacement tips more affordable. Until then I'll keep waiting for someone to make the perfect tripod/hiking stick combo.Edit 10/1/24: I was contacted by Ulanzi and they assured me that they will replace the hiking stick tips free of charge for anyone that wears them out. They also sent me couple replacement tips. I have increased my review to 3 stars for their great customer service, after further testing of the tripod I will update my review again.

Nice Quality
Works well. It is a little clunky and requires disassembly each time if you are using it as a tripod. I really like the idea.

Great quality tripod
This is perfect for any photographers that are needing a decent tripod setup, I highly recommend this one. It provides great quality and I like the weight to the tripod being light enough weight but still able to not just fall over by the wind. It’s stable and adjustable.
