Digital and silicone
I have had a wax melt warmer for at least 15 years. I have noticed over these years that it takes a long time to warm up. I have to use the melt setting to melt the wax and then decrease the temperature to the medium setting several hours before using. Basically, this means I need to decide the night before I’m going to use it …to turn it on and leave it on all night. Then in the middle of the night change the temperature to a safe waxing temperature so it’s ready to go the next morning….. I just knew there had to be something better. This wax melt warmer is digital and it heats up so quickly that when I plugged it in for the photos for about 30 seconds, I was concerned about putting the bag of wax melts back in for storage might melt the bag! I love the silicone insert as well as the silicone stir stick. In the past I had purchased the large popsicle stick, looking, stir sticks for mixing, and the skinny tiny ones for applying. I guess that’s the only thing missing, are the little tiny ones for applying the wax. When I use hot wax, it looks like I’m getting ready to do surgery in my bathroom… I hate the way the wax gets on everything if I’m not this cautious. I cover up the countertop with paper towels then I put a cover around the warmer so that I don’t drip on it and then I put a cover over the base of my mirror so I don’t get a mess on it. Next I layer sections of paper towel, so that, as I use the skinny sticks to apply the wax, then apply the fabric and remove the fabric, I can fold that section and go onto the next. I’m sure this sounds like a lot of work but I have found that if I don’t do this…. is when I really have a lot of work. If I’m not this careful everything needs to have removed from it, my way it’s all covered. It all gets thrown away in the end and it’s clean when I’m done.I enjoyed using this product, and the height of my enjoyment was the temperature control so that when everything was melted, it wasn’t too hot. I really appreciate this detailed control of the temperature and as I do more research and experiment with it more …I know I will have the temperature just right for my skin type and my hair removal. At the time of this review the smart wax melt warmer is selling for $9.99. In my opinion, that is a steal. It would still be a 5 star buy at $18.99. For the sake of comparison, this product is so much better than what was offered 15 to 20 years ago. A definite five stars score at the current price.I hope my thoughts and photos help.

No more stovetop warming
This is way better than using a pot on the stove. Heats up quick and works great. Intuitive buttons to control temperature which means more consistent results. Safer too. Tired of paying and having someone else do it for me so I am saving money this way. Happy with it.

Review for newbies: Wonderful! I loved it.
So, just to not miss out on something that would matter to someone with experience: This is the first time I have ever used a wax warmer for home body waxing. I've waxed small parts for years, but never done anything large like legs and I've always just put the wax in the oven and it's usually sucked. So, this came with the warmer and lid, a detachable 110 plug, a metal inner pot, a pink silicone pot liner, a silicone spatula not made for small fine detail, and a small bag of wax beads. The warmer and inner metal pot have handles. It took less than ten minutes for the beads to melt. It seems that the heating comes just from the sides. So, the beads in the center didn't melt until they were stirred. You can change the temperature, easy peezy. The temp was perfect and the wax was so nice that I waxed something I have never been able to because it hurt too much. The spatula was great, but I do not know how to not end up with fine strings everywhere. I'm sure I will get better as I get used to it. I had to melt and then unplug and take it into another room. So, the detachable cord was heaven sent. Even at full melt, the outside was just warm. Not a burn hazard. The metal pot WAS hot, but not the liner. So, it's not a worry. The only critique I can come up with at all is the top just sits on top. There is not latch or anyway to close it that it won't come off. Because, no matter what, at some point in time it will be left hot, whether it be because you leave it on or because it is cooling down. If a child or pet were to catch the cord, they may spill it. The wax is not so hot as to burn, but the inner pot might be.

Heats up fast, allows custom heat settings, wax easily removed from bowl when finished!
This is absolutely fantastic, and the smaller personal size and sleek modern appearance are a welcome upgrade over the big, ugly wax melting unit I had from years ago!You just plug this in, pour the resin beads into the silicon bowl, select a wax type, press start, and the machine shows you the current temperature in Centigrade and Fahrenheit (by switching between the two) as it warms up. It even beeps when it hits the ideal temperature, but you can easily raise or lower that using the buttons on this as well if needed. Once ready it keeps the wax hot and runny as long as you leave it plugged in, so you can take as long as you need. After you're finished you can just unplug this, and when the melted wax cools it forms a solid disc you can just pop out of the silicon bowl and keep to reuse later! Literally no mess or wasted wax is left behind at all, I couldn't believe it.This does its job not just well, but superbly, and it makes cleaning up when you're done a snap! The included small bag of wax isn't a lot, more of a trial run size than enough to fill the bowl so you can get a good wide swipe layer on the included stick, but with the bowl filled high enough to dip the stick rather than try to scrape the sides, this gave me the easiest at-home waxing I've ever had. I absolutely love this, and can't imagine living without it now, it is DEFINITELY recommend!
