Very disappointed with this product.As per the product details - it does not deliver - as mentioned below :1. Bad quality stainless steel, I really don't know if this product will last for two months !2. The pressure control does not work properly, the cover blows open very often during cooking resulting in steam getting out and half cooked idli's.3. The holes at the edges of the idli plates are not finished / polished and some of them are half-cut with the remaining steel connected to it - can damage your hands while cleaning !4. As per the product description it says 8.8 inches - which is the outer frame (the idli maked) inside which the idli plates are placed actually the idli plates are having 4 cavities which will result in 2.6 inches of idli !!5. The idli cavities are not of proper depth - the lower idli plate with batter touches the upper plate while placing inside the idli maker.6. The black plastic (small knob) at the top of the idli plates comes out easily while placing inside or taking out the hot plates from the idli maker - resulting in damaging the entire effort !7. The product does not have any manufacturer warranty card8. The product is only having a black sticker with the manufacturer name and the plastic handles are engraved with the manufacturer name - it seems the plastic handles are only manufactured by the company and the rest is outsourced to some local vendor.Final recommendation : Don't buy !

ALL IS WELL! WORKING SO GOOD! THE TOP COVER IS SEATING TIGHT FITTING BUT IT'S HELP TO WITHOUT SLIPPING WHEN STEAM COME OUT! THE STAINLESS MATERIAL IS GOOD! BUT LITTLE THINNER THAN WE EXPECTED FROM THE BRAND OF PIGEON! AT THE BOTTOM OF THE COOKER, A FLAME MARK OR SOMETHING FOUND IN AFTER FIRST USE! PROOF WITH PICTURE INSERTED! EACH EVERY USAGE,WHISTLE START WORKING WHILE THE IDLYS START BOILING FROM BEGINNING! PLEASE DO ANYTHING TO CONTROL IT! OUR OLD STEAM IDLY COOKER (WITHOUT WHISTL MODEL) TOOK 20 MINUTES TO 16 IDLYS TO BOILING! BUT THIS TOOK ONLY 10 MINUTES FOR 24 IDLYS TO BOILING! OVER-ALL GOOD!

Steel quality is good and thick to last longerPlates have some dents
