Good monitor, stupid cable
Good contrast ratio, nice deep colours - for the money this is a surprisingly good monitor.I've knocked off a star because Dell in their infinite wisdom choose to ship it with a VGA cable, presumably for the <1% of people who will ever connect to the monitor through VGA. This means a carefully manufactured piece of plastic and metal goes straight into the bin - never mind single-use plastic, this is zero-use plastic. If they'd shipped it with an HDMI cable instead that would be far less idiotic. Better to leave the cable out altogether than supply one which goes straight into landfill.

Fantastic monitor, great colour range. I now have 3.
Over the past few years I've dabled with different monitors from 1080p - 4k. This is by far my favourite. The colour and vibrancy is incredible, especially when you consider the price. It looks incredible too, they really do make a statement, every single person who had seen these monitors has commented on the sleak look and they're even more impressed when they are they running. Even my hardcore gamer brother in law loves it.I now own 3 of these and a 1080p smaller one. All are fantastic, multiple purpose monitors. As a software engineer the resolution and vibrancy is great. I dable with imagery and video and again these monitors excel here. I also game on the monitor, and the detail level, coupled with my very good GPU makes for a great experience.I really sat on the fence over this purchase as I wanted another 4k monitor and thought the 2k just wouldn't cut it, how wrong I was. I've not missed 4k at all and I'd buy another of these in a heartbeat.Buy it, you won't regret it!

Great image, poor connectivity. Don't look at the q&a section, incorrect information on there.
Great montior picture wise but beware, I had been searching for a monitor with line out/headphone socket to use as a display for my firestick, do not believe that it has from the question/answer section, this has a mere VGA and HDMI connection, no built in speakers or line out as some said....fortunately I was connecting to an external speaker which has Bluetooth so I could stream audio from firestick to that. Otherwise, picture bang on.***Update***Had it a week now, have a 4k TV in the front room and the image on this is nigh on as good, if it had audio I would give it 5* for sure, if like me you are tech savvy, once you have found a way around it you won't be disappointed, sure it would be an excellent pc monitor, I can say for sure it makes for a great bedroom TV.

If you want a remarkably cheap basic monitor, this is the monitor for you.
If you want a remarkably cheap basic monitor, this is the monitor for you. Before sending it back, I asked various members of my family if they wanted it. They all have several monitors. What happens when you buy a new monitor? ==== You have an old monitor you are not sure what to do with. This monitor was worse than my old monitor. My old monitor had more screen sizes. For the price, I felt that it was a remarkably good deal. I actually paid slightly less than it is selling for at the moment. However I wanted a better monitor, not one that was slightly worse.Still quite functional.++++My immediate impression is one of disappointment. I am using it at the moment, and I can sense the eye strain. I am afraid this was a case of penny wise and pound foolish. One of the problem with Amazon reviews, is that it is often all 27 inch Dell monitors that are lumped together. So you will read a review in which it says that the speaker quality is not much good. This monitor does not have speakers. This was something I knew, and I was happy about.First of all, the monitor is not adjustable. Its position is fixed. Secondly, it has only two input sockets HDMI and VGA (No HDMI cable was provided.)This monitor is described as a gaming monitor and they show a picture of a first person shooter. The graphics on first person shooter can be very crude, and the picture does not change rapidly. I am honestly thinking of sending it back. I now realise that I would have much prefered a much more expensive, possibly 4K monitor.I am slightly disappointed with Dell. I have come to expect 'office standard' monitors from Dell. With very good adjustment and a screen that you can look at for hours. This is like a TV screen!+++++++++++OK, I am being a little bit hard on this monitor. It is just that I was disappointed. Being Amazon, I still have the option to return it.+++++++++++++So, why am I being so hard on this monitor?Well, some what to my surprise, I discovered that it was not all that big. In actual fact, it is not much larger than my existing monitor. My existing monitor, also by Dell, has a much square shape. But the real estate - screen viewing area is similar. Also, I can go, one step further in pixels on the screen with my old monitor. 1920 * 1080 is the max on this screen. On my old screen which is not plugged in at the moment, I can have more pixels. That enables me to add a new folder and put items in it, if my screen is full of icons. It also enables me to 'save' in One Password, when the box is not properly on the screen.1366×768 screens just surpassed 1024×768 as the most popular screen resolution used by the visitors to StatCounter's global network of sites. For example, 2K reference resolution is 2048 × 1536 pixels, whereas 4K reference resolution is 4096 × 3072 pixelsI think this was the resolution I was able to get on my other monitor: WUXGA 16:10 1920 1200 0.84 1.3What I am saying, is that it is not as good as my old monitor.++++++++That is a pretty damming thing to say.

75Hz with Intel graphics settings
This monitor is very good for first time pc builders and for £150 it is definitely worth the price. In the box you get the monitor it's stand, a VGA cable and the power cable (along with the manuals ect...)The monitor is high quality and although it states that it supports only 60Hz (75Hz with freesync) i was able to bump it up to 75 by changing the intel graphics settings. (as seen by the image)The only downside of this product is that the height is not adjustable and it does not have screw holes for the wall mount or seemingly any audio ports

Disappointing
I'm a big fan of previous iterations of these Dell glossy monitors, but this one did not live up to expectations, sadly.Despite being familiar with how to adjust things for the best results, I could not get a satisfactory result. The colours failed to pop and the blacks were disappointingly grey.In addition the packaging looked as if it had been done in the dark by someone wearing sunglasses. The wrappers were all creased, hanging out the box even.
