smanos W020 WiFi Alarm System - Home and Business DIY Security Alarm System Kit Includes Control Panel, Door/Window Contact, Remote Control

Brought this to replace a Smanos L020 which did not work (Avoid!). While the hardware looks and functions great it is let down by the buggy software. After some trial and error I managed to set it up and I'm happy with the results. Hopefully the software will improve over time

Pile of rubbish! While some of the Smanos products work well, such as their sensors and sirens, but their core items such as the hub are useless. This item is impossible to use as I couldn't sync the app with my WIFI, despite numerous attempts. The developers let themselves down with software that is so poor.

Faulty, had to return!

It's seems to be the trend these days that manufactures are producing good hardware but poor software, and for me this definitely fits in to this catagory. Basically I find the app works for a while, then just stops completely, forcing me to reinstall it to get it to work. That might be fine, but you can't remotely link this to the alarm, you need to be on the same WiFi network. So say you are on holiday, and the app crashes, you cannot do anything till you get back home. This has happened on several phones, and on over several versions of android. The sad thing is that the concept is actually very good, and its not too expensive.I would say to anyone thinking of buying any alarm or security system to check out the reviews on the play store first.
