Unlike chemical-based sunscreens which absorb the sun’s harmful rays from within the body, BlockOut mineral sunscreens remain on top of the skin and reflect the sun’s harmful rays — for those whose bodies are their temples, reflection vs. absorption is the better alternative.  As mineral sunscreens remain on TOP of the skin, however, proper application takes a moment longer and may leave an amount white residue on the skin.  Suffice to say, our sunscreen lotions have been micronized to make application as easy as possible.
