I've tried tie clips, tacks, pins, chains stays. None of them quite work as well as 'd like. Clips get lost, tacks and pins put holes in your shirts and ties, I don't care for the look of chains and stays are never quite spaced perfectly with your shirt buttons. These are pricey but just about as good as it gets for me. The strength of the magnets is incredible. Once you line up the tie front, tail and shirt and let the magnets connect it's very secure. Now Having said that I did lose the first one I bought. Looked down and it was just gone. The magnets are so strong that there's no way it just came loose. It must have gotten caught on my seatbelt or something and got ripped off and fell outside the car and I never noticed it until I got home. It was painful because they are expensive, but I've since bought three more. I hope they'll make many more designs and maybe even colors!

This works great. Bought this for my husband's ties. It stay in place really well and because it's a magnet, he's not poking holes in his ties!!

The tie clip was as pictured so do not look for Red-White-Blue - but it is very smart looking. It is also very well made. The magnet is extraordinary and it takes some effort to separate it and to position it. However, one positioned, it does not move. I am extremely happy with this purchase and wish that Amazon would offer for sale more items made in the USA.

This tie tax has a very strong magnetic connection and works with ties of all thickness. This is my daily go to tie tax and the subdued logo goes well with everything.

Loved this so much that I bought a second one, will buy more in the future. I was skeptical at first but it is the perfect alternative to ruining your ties with pins. Very strong magnet.

Fell off within 30 seconds

I love this magnetic tie holder and have recieved compliments about it. It keeps the tie in place with dual magnets and is fashionable and patriotic. The only downside (for me), I work in an industrial facitlty as a supervisor and if I get too close to machinery, trucks durin inspection or my metal desk the magnet attracts to the metal and I have to be careful not to lose the backing as I pull away from the metal surface.
