DEVILISHLY SHARP WITH A 15 YEAR GUARANTEE
Also known as the 'bird's beak' or 'tournee' knife, these 'controlled curve' paring knives are very handy for slicing into the round shaped surfaces of vegetables and fruit. They are that shape so that the tip can be more precisely used to make localised incisions as required. I have never come across a 'Kitchen Devil' knife that has ever been naff, so opted for this instead of the one made by 'Victorinox' who haven't such an unblemished history according to my experiences. One of my more satisfying uses for this knife is to score around the outer peel of an orange so that the skin can then be peeled away in 4 or 6 segments without me having cut into the fruit inside at all - so neat. The blade on one of these is incredibly sharp so the knife needs to be handled with due respect. The delivery was within 24 hours from when this knife had been ordered and I was happy to comply with the 'proof of age' protocol that was being correctly implemented by the delivery driver. It's about time something like that has become part of sales legislatureEamonn

Brilliant little knife
Have had two of these knives for more years than I care to remember, then suddenly both disappeared. Either accidentally thrown out in one of my husband's splurges with rubbish (I have rescued spoons many times!!!), or the fairies took them. Have now replaced as these are the best knives I have ever used for peeling and cutting veg and fruit. I have osteo-arthritis and find these the most comfortable to grip. Would hate to be without them.

Very sharp
The knife is just the job for use on fruit and veg and easy on the hand. I only had one thing I found laughable at, having to prove my age even though I showed my bus pass which proves I'm over 65 as well as confirms I'm not a con artist, having to prove my date of birth and have it recorded was a bit of a joke. Don't let it put you off buying a good product, Amazon need to check on what is legally acceptable in current British law so as not to have us double up laughing when you're turned 70 years old. A great little knife I recommend :-D

One for the knife drawer
I had recently lost my vintage vegetable knife due to the wooden handle finally giving up, so had been looking for a suitable alternative. This knife is a good size for me, I would say I have small hands and it fits comfortably. Very sharp, so beware and I have fallen foul of the hooked tip a couple of times when peeling and cutting veg in my hand. Not as good an all rounder as my old faithful knife, but on the whole fairly pleased. Good value for money.

Excellent product for the price
I paid £50 for a Dalstrong peeling knife, not only is this around 85% cheaper, it is also 100% better in every way; lighter, easier and grippier to hold, sharper and better blade retention. Would recommend any day of the week.

Have a similar one already which the handle had split (made from wood) so bought this one to replace it & it’s brilliant, very easy to hold & comfortable

Brilliant little knife
I do a lot of fine peeling and this knife is perfect. The only downside is the very sharp curved end. I wish I could find one just like this but without the curved end then I could use it for slicing too. I have the vegetable knife also from Kitchen Devils but I find the blade rather too thick for either peeling or slicing. I would definitely recommend this but mind your hand. Only for this reason, I give it 9 out of 10

Excellent curved paring knife
Very sharp and easily re-sharpened with stone. I have big hands and the larger, grippy handle is perfect to give a good hold and excellent when peeling slippery vegetables or fruit. My wife who has small hands finds it easy to use also.
