Installing the level was a bit of a learning curve. I took my time ensuring my scope was perfectly aligned with my rifle before securing the level in place. Once mounted, it provided immediate and reliable feedback, making it easy to maintain a consistent, perfectly vertical position. While the compact design is a plus for portability, the bubble itself is quite small, which can make quick checks a little challenging in low light. This scope level by Discoveryopt appears to be well made and is engineered to fit the three most popular scope diameters. This bubble retainer is well machined aluminum as are the inserts that are supplied to make this compatible with the whatever scope you may have. The inserts are made to be secure with the clamping retainer. The inserts cannot slip out of place. The finish is matte black and very similar to the matte black on many scopes.This level should be installed after your scope has been properly aligned with your rifle's receiver. If your scope is in any way not level with your rifle. this bubble level will do nothing to help you. Scope leveling kits are available from Amazon and are well worth the small investment. Once the scope is level to the rifle, and the rifle is secured in a true level position in a gun vise, then this bubble level should be installed. This is for your quick reference that your aiming through your scope is with the rifle in a near perfectly vertical axis. This negates introducing another variable in setting up the perfect sight picture of your target. If your rifle is tilted, even though your scopes crosshairs look level, your shot will land right or left of the intended bullseye.This level is compact and therefore the bubble itself seems to be quite small. Fit my scope well. The machining is clean and high quality. The bubble is very small, but the lines on the level are pretty wide, so that leaves a large margin of error. I would suggest they tighten up the two lines around the bubble.

I have not mounted it yet but have purchased other Discovery products and have always been pleased with the value relevant to the cost. The item appears to be machined nicely. I have other branded levels but none as nice as this. I love the molded point to match with center of the bubble instead of just trying to equally balance the bubble between the two outlines. This may seem trivial, but I believe it is much easier on the eye to view bubble placement. Mine is 34mm and going to be mounted on a DISCOVERYOPT HD 5-30x56, MRAD, FFP Scope with Red Illuminated Reticle. I’m going to do bench rest target work with it at modest ranges.

I ordered this to use with my Bullpup style air gun which has a tall rail. This helps me to ensure that I'm not canting the rifle one way or the other. Best of all is the fact that its true two piece which makes keeping it level much easier than the single screw style which moves the level while tightening. Would be great for airsoft as well as other shooting sports. Will definitely purchase again for other builds I have.

Discovery makes really great products from scopes to scope accessories and scope rings, this canting level is accurate as I compared to other expensive levels, fits my 30mm scope tube perfectly with no movement, very good price
