LacisPunch Needle Set

This is my favorite punch needle set I've purchased. Works great and is a good value compared to others. It's made of wood and metal and will last, unlike many of the plastic ones I've tried.

I am a very experienced embroiderer, knitter, and crocheter, but wanted to explore some other fiber arts. Punch needle really intrigued me. Since I was brand-new I wanted to spend as little as I could get away with. This is my SECOND tool, though, because the first adjustable plastic one I got was so bad that I almost just gave it up. I decided to give it one more try, and am very happy that I did! This tool made needle punching fun and relaxing! It is definitely an economy model, and this is obvious in a few ways. For instance, the needles don’t have depth gauges; I would recommend inserting a needle and measuring from it enters the handle to the tip of the needle (or whatever standardized measurement makes sense to you), doing swatches at different depths, and writing down the depths you’ve used. These little things don’t affect the quality of the work I’m doing, though, and I wouldn’t expect this to have the same attention to detail that more expensive tools have. As a beginner who was almost a “dropout” because of a truly useless tool, I would recommend this tool to anyone just starting!

This was perfect for my punch needle projects! The different sized attachments is great for beginners because it lets you mess around with different materials to see what works best for you. The handle is a little small. My hand cramps after awhile of using it.

works as intended and i use it all the time to make little coasters, but it definitely was a learning curve to use and i definitely still struggle a bit. i like at has detachable heads for different thickness of yarn but I've only ever used the biggest one and you can put too big of yarn in this one, i just have been using a standard acrylic yarn

This was the highest recommended interchangeable punch needle for beginners and experts alike in crafting circles and I was extremely excited to be gifted one but it’s completely unusable.The screw just grinds against the needle’s side, never pushing in far enough to thread when there is a needle in the barrel so it doesn’t secure. I don’t know if it’s an issue with the handle’s screw opening or if the wrong pieces were included, but something obviously isn’t right if you can’t even use it.It’s extremely disappointing, don’t waste your money :(

I wanted a punch needle but didn't want to spend a fortune on one so I got this little baby. The tips are absolutely ideal for both embroidery threads and yarn, it is tiny but mighty and works on any of the woven fabrics I have, which are not monk's cloth, just varieties of ordinary canvas. The wait was not bad for the product, the price point was fantastically acceptable to me, and I am extremely happy with this product! I will be purchasing another just 'cuz. Note: I did have to replace the threading wire with a bit stronger and less likely to wrinkle up version but I wasn't bothered by this at all, and if you keep your punch needle threaded with yarn and just tie on new colors you only have to thread it once anyway. I love it!
